Several sources for material have been linked in previous posts in this thread. This would be a much bigger job for the 18-way seats because the center sections are not removable inserts like the bucket seats, but any good custom auto trimmer could do it. The seats would have to be removed from the car and disassembled, which is not required with the LWBs. The seat covers for top and bottom sections would then be removed and the center sections unstitched from the bolsters, then the new replacement material sewed in, and the seats reassembled and reinstalled in the car. Labor costs will obviously be much higher, but certainly less than the $8,875 USD figure.

It is also not easily reversible like the LWB insert covers without the same investment in labor once again. The original alcantara covers can be reinstalled on the LWB inserts anytime in about 10 minutes if you want to go back to stock.

If Eddie makes these, it will be of superior quality to anything which can be found.. OEM level. Can't wait to see the options he has for us.

Picked up a set of Garry's inserts in the blue / black pepita for my SBM GT3. Impressed by the quality of the work...the inserts faithfully replicate the factory front attachment point (a flexible u-channel that grips the leading edge of the seat shell) and the stitched-in velcro that binds the horizontal seams into matching grooves in the factory cushion.

Small gripe is the velcro squares on the end of the sub-belt pass-throughs are on the short side and not double sided (they stick to the cushion but not to the seat shell). So time will tell if they keep the fabric taut around the pass-through. Still, at this price point hard to complain.

Thanks for the feedback

I've have changed the design slightly to lengthen the through Velcro on the centre strap along with making it double sided. If you need a couple of strips of Velcro to stick on the under side of the strap hole flap let me know and I send you some out

Has anyone done the Red B&W houndstooth yet? Very tempted by this. Would love to see pics of it in the car.

I did in my Spyder with LWB, it matches perfectly with the Classic Spyder interior in red.

Man, this looks so good! I am trying to do the centers on my 356B restoration in the same material, to match my car exterior/dash paint. I was told they are 6 months out on fabric :-(
Your car looks great.
