When/if the .2 is revealed with a manual and a 4.0 watch these premiums drop even more...

Insane a frankly ridiculous. Who would pay anything near that for that car? While they are just rumors the rumors point to a next GT3 being very similar. So unless the R is something truly special I don't see how it will maintain it's premium over a 991.2 GT3 (with manual).

Also - since these cars were built to be driven it's just sad people buy them to put them away as investments. Wonder what Andreas thinks about this as a "car" guy (not a biz guy).

The .2 will probably specifically come with a 3.9 just to protect the RS and R market. Porsche is way to smart to be pissing everyone off!

Too bad they couldn't even list the VIN at that price.

Freaking dumb. I could have had 3 Rs for $225k-$250k over MSRP. This seller is fishing for a sucker.

In UK, Current ask is 650k GBP
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...code=p&adPos=2

Interestingly, one of the UK 28 RHD 997 4.0Rs came up the other week, sold very quickly with an ask of just under 500k GBP

The saying is, a sucker is born every minute. Do not underestimate the world's supply of suckers.

Pretty car. Hope they end up in the garages of people who will drive them...T

A white 911R with green stripe was recently sold for 500K here in SoCal. While I am personally very happy to see the value of the R skyrocket, one needs to beg the question of what is a reasonable price for a modern 911? If a CGT sells for 750-800K, how much should a 911R be worth? In my opinion, 350-400K at the most.

So does anyone have actual sales info rather than asking prices?!?
