Well said. And I would also add that getting a
PTS .2 991 gt3 might be harder this time around
than in any previous gt model. The fact is demand
for PTS in the 991 gt3, 991 gt3 RS, gt4, 981 Spyder
& the 911R (in other words, the sportiest & most
desirable Porsche models) has stripped the ability
of PAG to supply them due to PAG's limited paint-
to-sample allocations & overly restrictive PTS 'open
windows'.

We here at Rennlist have contributed enormously
to the education of the enthusiast community on
this special paint option. But sadly PAG has not
adapted its paint logistics to accommodate the
greater demand today worldwide for this very
desirable option. Thus I anticipate that in the
future PTS in the .2 991 gt3s (& other limited
production models) will get even harder to get!
And definitely more expensive to buy as more
customers vie for their restrictive allocations &
many P-dealers mark them up with premiums.
So caveat emptor.

The GT3 is a little bit too extreme and the color is not
good for daily driving...I really love the color. I smile
every time when I see my car, in garage.

If color is an issue, get it wrapped.
Ipse: You jest, no? You misunderstood EricHai...
or you did not read the last part of his post!
Eric is NOT about to wrap his stunningly
beautiful PTS 'Signal Green' gt3 in any
other color just because it might draw
a little too much attention as a DD!

And talking about the color, Eric, for goodness sake,
please get a better photo of your 'Signal Green' Porsche
in your avatar so that folks appreciate the impressive
hue of your '15 gt3 gt3!

Eduardo, I'm curious (as always), are you planning on another trip to the Porsche plant again in the near future to find out even more info on PTS?

As a matter fact...yes! Mid-April 2017. But who knows
if they'll let me talk to the PTS decision makers.

Keep the frog and throw a blanket(s) in the back for the dog - same thing as 911 "back seat" cushion. And, just drive it more often.

Here is a compromise. Sell the GT3 back to your dealer and buy the GTS provided he guarantees you a .2GT3 allotment. Should you find the GTS to sedate (and you will after owning a GT3) you could pull the trigger on the allotment and turn in the GTS. You are now covered.

BTW, that is exactly what I did. I sold my GT3 and bought a .2 4STarga. Great car but too sedate and not raw enough for my taste. I hope to order the .2GT3 sometime this fall.

This is your dog speaking... I love the frog even though I can only see in black and white. I can't decide whether I prefer sitting in the front or on a blanket in the back. The 9k sounds better to me than you with my high frequency hearing and I hear down at the kennel club that the 3.2 won't rev to 9 so you've already got the best car. Unless like me you like playing with a stick. Woof.

Keep the GT3 and daily-drive. I DD mine and it's always fun.

I think you're asking the wrong question. What you should be asking, is what you should trade in the Macan for. That's a huge waste of money right there.

The GT3 ... is not. Do. Not. Sell. It.
