Does the front attachment of the rear wing looks like it might be a linkage allowing angle of attack of wing to be varied?

The rear decklid has the third brake light integrated in it, making it likely to be the final product indeed. I was hoping the scoops looked better than the Turbo's. Something like the 959's would have been a killer.

I hessitate to even mention this. I bought the last two RS cars and 6GT3 before those. The one thing about those that appealed to me was that the driveline was similar to what was in the cup cars and RSRs. All the aero stuff on the 991 is way cool, but the heart of the beast is a street car, not a race car. I'm high up on the list and can buy one when they come out, but I'm kind of cooling towards the whole idea.

I wish PAG would start releasing some details, or I may just skip this GT car. A first for me in 11 years.

I agree, a good PDK can be just as involving, maybe less effort, but equally involving. The only problem I have when driving a PDK/DCT on track is what to do with my left foot? One time out on my first session, my left leg got a cramp from pressing down too hard on the footrest while cornering...

I've always wondered: does the computer cancel out throttle inputs if you brake at the same time as applying any kind of any acceleration?

I (still) think that's a modified turbo decklid ... until I see a picture of the 991 RSR engine compartment showing the (turbo) air intakes being used to feed the engine I'm of the opinion that there is a 'traditional' decklid scoop somewhere in the wings waiting to force air into the engine/airbox?

of course, I could be talking a load of old dog bollocks...

In the July 2013 issue of Racecar Engineering they cover the rational for the change in style of air intakes.
