Sigh.. Incredibly sad for who is surely one of the best and most legendary drivers to live. With all his risks taken and many accidents over the years for this to be the final outcome.. It is almost as it is meant to be. Obviously it is not my decision, but my opinion is that for someone who has taken so many risks to be critically injured and artificially kept alive after a silly accident.. I think they should let him go, it's his time. Allow him to pass on with some dignity..

Just my opinion of course. I understand it must be incredibly difficult for all those involved, condolences to those that are close, and even those who he has influenced over the years.

Very, very sad. Arguably the 2 best F1 drivers in history had very bad things - freak accidents - happen to them. Hug your loved ones today and don't live for tomorrow.

Also somewhat macabre that schiumi's car camera was the one filming senna' deadly accident

Incredibly sad and make you put things in prospective. We have been praying for his full recovery and still very hopeful he will. Mark

Very sad news indeed. My thoughts go to his family, especially his son...

This is cruelly ironic in that he survived the ultra high speeds and risk of Formula One racing only to be taken out by a skiing accident. It is similar in a way to General George Patton's demise. Surviving all of the battles of WW2 only to die from complications a few months later from an automobile accident. What a waste, and so sad for his family and fans.
