Default When will we see the GT2?

Folks, any guesses or insiders knowledge of when the GT2 will be showing up?

Any guesses for BHP? 580 to perhaps 600 ponies?

Further, any confirmation that a PDK-S can hold that much power... Maybe they will have to go back to a manual trans?

Too many questions, too much speculation!

With the new Z06 claiming potentially 625 and the Turbo S at 560 I would guess 600 ponies

I would day zero chance of a manual . GT2 normally later than 3RS, so prob not available till 2016 or tail end of 2015….

Wasn't there a comment from a Porsche high-up, that they are not going to do a "regular" GT2 because a 600hp 2WD GT2 would be slower than a 560hp Turbo S?

According to my dealer, the "regular" GT2 of the 997 didn't fit well. For the guys that wanted a GT3 with more power it was too soft and for the Turbo guys it was too hard. Don't know if anything about that is true though

I think they will make a GT2 RS for sure and then it is going to be something like 650hp. PDK for sure.

Mid-Engined! And to compete with the replacement of the 458. And hopefully under $300K.

It's likely that there will not be a GT2 at all. It's been discussed here previously that the introduction of the 960 would end the GT2 class of 911's.
