Moved MY2014 to MY2015

There have been 2015 allocations granted/announced to any Dealers only 2014s being rescheduled. Any Dealer, at least here in the US, who says they have "true" 2015 allocations is playing a dangerous game. They will not be announced until the 4th quarter and some anticipate the 2014/15 run will be cut back

actually i think there will be quite a few 2015 allocations from those 2014s that cancel.
I'm probably not going to make it to the end so my spot will probably become available.
I know of at least 4 2015 allocations from cancellations.
So they didn't get new allocations they just got their old ones back!

Eduardo. Fantastic email. Your memory is excellent. Your knowledge too. Makes some of my communications look very clumsy!
I believe the current GT3 dilemma may have played havoc with Porsches calender for that model. The next "scratch" produced GT3s are likely to be MY 2015 as you say which could come as soon as late May but my suspicion is June. However I would be surprised in light of current circumstances Porsche continue to produce the GT3 in volume beyond October. The 991 GT3RS timetable is rumoured to have slipped. Again its essential both of these models complete their production before further changes in Euro emissions compliance regulations. German auto industry bought a rain cheque (largely arguing on the basis of GFC economics and the final revival of the Euro auto industry) but I suspect Europe is returning to form quicker than anticipated, Euro car manufacturers are again posting significant profits, and legislation may be back with a vengeance in 2015. Its very hard to understand if Porsche have the fortitude to continue with a thirsty NA engine for GT3 in future model generations, but I sure hope so. The good thing about the volume Macan is it will be lowering their product mix emissions average rating...

You are welcome!
Correct. US dealers already have confirmation in hand that some of their customers' MY2015 991's will start to be build in June 2014. The earliest MY2015 991 (a Targa) my local dealer has confirmation for is scheduled for production in the first week of June, 2014! That is only in 7 weeks time.

So Eduardo, are you saying you think there is a chance that my September GT3 allocation that was pushed from MY2014 to MY2015 which was supposed to be delivered to me on May 9th may get built sooner than September for an October delivery?

MCSMCS1 - What I am saying is the Dealers last year received their 2014 allocations that had a span from 3rd/4th quarter 2013 thru end of 2014. These were their 2014 allocations. My dealer got like (7) based on their percentage of 911 sales in the US plus for any 918 Spyder they sold those Customers got first right on Gt3 allocations, as well, but they were, in addition, to their designated allocation. I heard some 918 owners said not interested so dealer took it, some said will take it but will sell it back to you for a quick profit, and some took the cars. Now, some of the 2014 allocations have been reclassified to 2015 but they have yet to receive their offiicial 2015 allocation which will be some time 4th quarter for delivery after the New Year.

Don't worry...be happy!
There will be 785 gt3 engines that will be built in late April/early May that will test the 'metal' on the new motors! Then there will be motors built for those MY2014 remaining to be 'completed' and hanging around in Zuffenhausen since they were already started...but never finished. Finally, there will be the gt3 motors being built for the June, July and August gt3 production that will precede yours! If there is going to be a problem with the new gt3 motor, it will probably happen & be corrected long before you gt3 rolls down the line in September!
The only problem I see with your particular build in September, Rubbaman, is that the Cannstatter Wasen Beer Festival will start in the Stuttgart area on September 26th! God help you if your gt3 is not done by then and your car gets to be assembled by the folks in the late factory shift at Zuffenhausen! Most of Porsche production folks are notorious for gathering promptly at noon at Bad Cannstatt and filling up with five beers before they head to Zuffenhausen for the day's work*!

*Ne vous inquiétez pas! I am just making this up...it's only two beers!

No. As you stated, you had a late MY2014 gt3 allocation that was rescheduled for September as a MY2015. There are many other 991 gt3 customers from Europe, ROW & the Americas that were LONG AGO SCHEDULED for early MY2015 production. These orders are going to proceed as planned! Those of you - both in US and ROW - that got their late MY2014 'bumped' or 'eliminated' due to the well-know technical problems & delays will be plugged-in the MY2015 production line as space permits!.....

Z356 - That is hysterical but I do not know if you were trying to be funny(could be truth to them spending too much time at the Festival). Question - Do you believe that the total number of 2014/15 GT3s that Porsche was originally planning to produce will be reduced overall from their original plan because of the issues and consequent delays? Saying, If the US were to have received say 600 cars for 2014/15 that it could now be less?

I sincerely hope you are wrong on this. I would expect the same priority be granted to those who had their 2014 builds bumped to 2015 be put at the head of the 2015 line now, much along the lines of what Porsche is saying they will do with the 2014 engine replacements; first in, first out...

But here's the deal. I DID NOT have a late MY2014 GT3 allocation. I HAD a Feb 2014 allocation. I was V210 ready to go! And they switched me. They VX99'd my order. NOW.. I have a September allocation for MY2015. I'm not unhappy with a MY2015 don't get me wrong. So I am a BUMPED guy as you state. So I'll ask my question again, Is there a chance I get built before September as you stated could happen?
