So awesome. Thanks for sharing. Wish Porsche would offer something like this!

Can you give more details about the Lw pdk flywheel?

Does the car rev/accelerate faster?

Quicker downshifts/ upshifts?

Any more noise/rattling? Thx

This looks like a wonderful alternative to the elusive 991 GT3. I'm tempted but I already ordered a Yas Marina Blue 2015 M4.

M4 is a badass car. You are going to enjoy it and won't have regrets. And yes, the most pioneering individual in the history of online gaming is a Cayman fan and a Porsche fan and a soon-to-be racer. I just wish he didn't live as far from us as possible!

Thanks...I will. The reality though is that when people do homework on BGB, they hear great things; that info is coming from you guys and this community. So we will keep making these cool cars because you guys keep generating great referrals for us finding us new business.

Thanks again to the Rennlist community.

P.S. If you have not seen our Facebook page or Instagram page, and you are bored, I have a lot of build photos and albums there. Cheers everyone!

Damn I want one of these.

In terms of donors, what are the pros/cons of using 2009-2012 Caymans vs. 2013+ Caymans?

I am really thinking about retiring the RS from the track and getting a Cayman to become my next D.E car and possibly race it.
I will either look for a possible completed car or find a donor to send to BGB.

in searching for a donor to have a BGB PDK 3.8L DFI conversion, i assume it is safe to rule out 2006-2008 Caymans?

yes, source from here. http://www.teambgb.com/for_build.asp

As well I remember them excluding that 987.2 (2009-2012) base cayman/boxster with the 2.7 that are not DFI, "S" are DFI and can be done.

Word over here is the recent GTS Cayman is one more step in the direction of a GT4--track focused Cayman. How it will be equipped is not entirely clear but a MT with a specific track focus is certain should they decide to produce it. Kudos to BGB for being ahead of the curve and offering a Porsche for which there is a clear market demand.

I made a link to the Photo Gallery. We are going to start producing these as turn-key track cars with interior painted welded 6-point cages and full interior removal for $140K. Apparently there is another group in North America offering something similar to this but since we are the only ones that have been building actual Cayman race cars for competition we are expanding.

We can build something like this for you in 30 days or in 45 days you can have it with a painted, welded roll cage. We are going to start picking up a few cars for spec builds but I would get in line quickly if you are interested.
