Default Gixxer's Turbo RS build

Hi Guys,
I am a longtime car enthusiast with a few car builds under my belt.
My first was a 1970 Porsche 911e... then I switched over to BMW for several years (I still own an 2017 M4 and a 2018 X3 M40i)

You can check out my previous builds here;
2017 M4 Competition pack GTS/CS tribute build: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1371601
2010 X5M Pure turbo build ;http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1091089

I had the opportunity to drive a GT3 on the track last year and fell in love with Porsche all over again!
The GT3 is the perfect track weapon, but once I drove it on the street, I was not as impressed. I was actually disappointed that my M4 was faster! Then one of my Porsche buddys (who owns a GT3 RS) told me to consider the Turbo instead. He said that I would hate driving the RS on the street and that the Turbo cars were much faster anyway.... My friend was absolutely correct, but I still couldn't get over the aggressive looks of the GT cars with their mean stance and high wings.

I knew what I had to do.
Enter my 2014 Turbo S in Agate Gray over Black with Centerlocks, Carbon Ceramics and Yellow seat belts!

The first thing I wanted to do after thoroughly checking the car out was to adjust the height to sit more like a GT car.
(While the car was on the lift, we discovered that the car already had a Tubi Exhaust installed! - BONUS!)
We accomplished the height adjustment by incorporating H&R spring. Some legal window tint was applied around the same time.

Default WHEELS!!!!

Next up WHEELS!!!
I have a standing relationship with Signature wheels, so we came up with SV303 2-piece wheels (first official set with center lock option) with custom aggressive offsets for the turbo S.

SV303S Centerlocks.
Brushed faces with Polished lips.

Default GT3 RS Sideskirts

GT3 RS Sideskirts added.
Someone discovered that the OEM GT3 RS side skirts were a direct bolt on!
Suncoast Porsche offered these at a really good price. This was a no brainer!

Default From Orange to Clear

Suncoast sent me these clear side markers.
The orange ones never bothered me, but these do look fantastic.... It is a subtle, but worthy change;

Default Major Changes...

Now the fun REALLY begins;
As I had mentioned before, I LOVE the GT cars outward appearance with their aggressive stance and high wings...
Although I have grown to like the front of the Turbo S, I still found myself longing for the more aggressive GT3 look. I had been poking around the forums, talking to shops, looking on ebay to find a suitable GT3 bumper when I stumbled upon Sterling Auto Con. They had a client that wanted to upgrade his GT3 991.1 to 991.2 front bumper, so I decided to take his 991.1 GT3 bumper off his hands!

Complete with lights, brackets, spoiler, laterals and screens...

Dropped off the Turbo S at Dynamic Auto Tune in Charlotte, NC to begin the transformation...

While we were there, Ted and I began discussing Paint Correction, PPF, Ceramic Coatings, rear wing and Stripes!
*Notice the Expel Stealth PPF test strip sample on the front fender and hood?

Potentially going from this:

To something like this?

Optional GT3/GT3RS wheels;

There have been a fair amount of discussions about GT3 wheels on a Turbo...

Some have tried this and although I think they look right at home on a Turbo, I always felt that the front offsets were a little too conservative. After much discussion and measuring, I have determined the the GT3 RS fronts coupled with GT3 rears will work nicely. A little tough to find, but I finally sourced 2 front GT3 RS wheels from the UK.

GT3 RS fronts are 9.5x20 et 50 (vs. GT fronts at 9x20 et55)
GT3 rears are 12x20 et47

*THIS GT3 RS/ GT3 wheel combination will have 5mm less poke than my signatures on both ends, but with some FAT Michelin Cup 2 tires, I think they will look just about right!
(STILL trying to decide which wheel and tire setup I want to use.... I guess I will do BOTH and switch them out on occasion so I have two completely different looks? or Maybe one setup for the track and one for the street?

Nice Build!
Can’t wait to see the bumper conversion.

Wondering, you have P101’s listed on EBay, why aren’t you using those for this build?

Thank you!
I liked the HRE P101s a lot, but I honestly like the Signatures and OEM GT3/GT3RS wheel sets better.
I can't keep them all, so I decided to let the HREs go... and they have already been sold.
(I almost forgot that I had them on Ebay...I gotta take them off, so thank you for reminding me!)

Nice, love the grey.

There was some talk on another thread about what to do with the inevitable front spoiler warning lamp that will come on... Is there a fix for that yet? Or does it not apply to the 2014?

It can be coded out by my Porsche Tech.

Default Wing Dilemma

So I am conflicted...

Since the GT3 front bumper conversion is happening, I am trying to decide on an upgraded rear wing.

I really like the GT2/3 RS wings, but I also the standard GT3 trunk wing....

Whichever wing I chose will determine where this build will go.... If I do GT3 wing, the build will pretty much end there.... if I go GT3 RS, then I can see RS front fenders and rear bumper modifications in the future....🤔

Go RS wing. The normal GT3 wing looks out of place with the wide body. This guy did it if you need picture reference.
