PCM Re-booting every 2 minutes
So today around 6pm after golf, get in to drive home and PCM reboots every 2-3 minutes. I’m really pissed as this happened to my old 997 and that was the end of the PCM. Got home and did a Rennlist search. In the 991 forum there were a whole bunch of guys having the same issue. Apparently it’s an XM/Sirius update that went out some time over the last 24 hours. Not sure if all PCMs are affected or only .1’s. But the fix is fairly simple but involves resetting PCM to factory and re-syncing XM.
I did that and then drove for 20 minutes and it appears to have solved the issue. So I’m hoping it’s all good. But wanted to post here in case anyone is having this issue. If so go to 991 forum and you’ll find the thread.

XM radio update. see 991 forum (and why we need to keep track of both forums):

Totally fixable, DIY, it seems.

Directly from PCNA:
It was brought to our attention, the PCM keeps rebooting on a number of vehicles at the moment.
Important: Please DO NOT replace any parts or hardware on a vehicle, due to this issue.
Please perform a PCM handover (also known as a PCM hard reset):
Be aware that hard resetting the PCM will remove all personalized settings.

Burning Brakes
Well, glad to hear it is a Sirius pile of s__t, not a $5000 repair. However, the procedure above did NOT work on my '14 TurboS. I followed the directions in the owner's manual, and I HOPE that did it.
