991.1 turbo S INTERMITTENT slow response to accelerating
Hi I just joined this forum. I hope to find some key technical feedback on a NEW intermittent issue with acceleration. Owned the car for 3 years.
With both hot and cold engine, on sudden acceleration from idle or foot off pedal there is a short delay in response and pick up,
resembling a turbo lag . As if missing a cylinder before the revs respond.
I live in Malaysia so tropical climate.
Dealer has checked through all diagnostics and systems and can identify nothing to cause it.
This has only developed since the recent change of the engine control module.

Alien, it can be a number of things, from a leaking intercooler to a lose intercooler hose or anything else electrical or mechanical. I would probably plug an OBD tester and go for a drive to replicate the problem.
Very often the dealer will not be able to see any errors in his shop, best is to do a live test with an OBD scanner plugged in and replicate the problem. I would ask them to start with a system pressure test.
Need to be patient and try different ways to test and record it, a defective DME would be very unlikely.
