I am the original owner of a 2014 Porsche 991 Turbo. I live in Las Vegas and the car has over 78,000 miles on it. No problems. Just routine maintenance and tires. The only mod I did at a local race shop is increase my HP from 520 to 620 and torque to 600. Great car. I purchased the car as a retirement give for myself at age 68. I told the dealer if I am alive in 2024 I will buy another. My dealer keeps telling me that all the milage on the car is greatly depreciating the value. My response is I purchase the car TO DRIVE and enjoy. I am not saving it for the next owner. I have no regrets. I was wondering if anyone else has a high milage turbo?

I have a2009 turbo cab with 60k miles.I bought it a little over 2 years ago at age 69 to replace my 2006 C2S. It had 33k miles then and I put on 10-15k miles per year driving it about 9 months per year. I took the 6 year 72k mile Fidelity warranty because I knew I would drive that much. My 14 year old granddaughter can't wait until she turns 16. She knows it's a cool car and loves the manual transmission.

Your dealer wants your car on their lot!

When a high mileage 991 T becomes available (as of late in the low $90K asking price range) they sell very quickly.

There are other data points out there that are contrary to your dealers position (see the article in the link below).

However, as mileage increases the number is much lower, meaning you lose less per mile driven. The sudden drop for the 991.2 is largely due to the introduction of the 992 911 Turbo. As far as the 992 markets go, prices are absolutely strong as many are still trading at list or even a bit higher. Porsche is doing a fantastic job by controlling the market with limited supply and not flooding dealerships, unlike some other brands. However, that won’t stay for long as 2022 models are pushed into the market.

Ha, sure the dealer says that to get you to upgrade sooner than planned. But then, can you put a value on the smiles you get when driving it? Absolutely drive it like they are meant to be and enjoy every second. I plan to do the same. Never worried about miles, and easily put 15k or more each year.

Nope. My very first Porsche, a ‘91 928 GT, was purchased with ~24k on the odo in 1997. It now has 120k miles.

I regret not being able to set aside the time to drive more.

I have never intentionally tried to keep the miles down on any vehicle I own. I buy cool cars to enjoy. That means I drive them, not just look at them in the garage. These cars are not an investment. Well, it might be if you have one with zero miles and its been stored in a bubble for 50 years.

Grisoguy, I agree with the others that your dealer is desperate for inventory and trying to talk you to upgrade sooner.

I'm in the same position. Bought my 2015 just over 4 years ago. It's a daily driver and I plan to keep it forever. However since I retired, my annual milage has gone down. I don't care, it's still a keeper.

Great job! Doing it right. Bought my TTS in February with 12k miles. It's about to touch 22k.

My famous words to the salesman after I purchased the car. "When Im ready for a GT3, you're going to sell me one at MSRP. Im not a flipper. I don't make money on cars, I lose money on cars". He loved that one.
