I use Individual mode with no aero.
Foot on Brake...Foot to floor and side step it.

As far as Traction Control, it just depends on surface and temps.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-turb...out-tc-on.html

This is a Dragy test back to back with no cool down, etc. on a 64F day in a bone stock TTS. TC on vs TC off = zero difference. But the tires hooked well on no prep asphalt since it was 64F and the car was bone stock. Add power and colder temps, obviously traction will suffer........

Overboost is automatically activated in either Sport or Sport Plus mode when the accelerator is fully depressed. All the button does is allow the overboost to be activated without a full accelerator depress. So button press should make zero difference on a LC launch...

...unless your tuner has done something special with the button, which I do not believe is typical.

Is the boost button only on 991.2 cars? I have a 2014 and don't remember seeing a boost button?

Correct. Both 991.1 and 991.2 Turbo's have the same overboost, but only the .2 has a separate button to trigger it without full throttle (where it is automatically engaged)

I can confirm this as I have a .2 steering wheel in my .1. The overboost button works during partial throttle as mentioned previously.

Individual mode which has sport plus without aero and without pdcc (suspension on comfort), TC off. You'd want to have your tires warmed up beforehand. Also a good idea to lower your tire pressures.

If tuned, all of the above + stickier tires.

I'm running 4S's in the rear, what should I lower the pressure to?

I’m running 4S’s all around & I drop the psi down to 30 all around. I like to go around the water box, do a launch with tc off, then pull up & go

Lots of good advice on how to get the best launch and lower ET's - but I haven't used any of that advice. I run 38 psi all the time everywhere and I leave PDCC on. Maybe the only thing I do right is set individual mode to Sport+ but no aero. Consequently, I don't have good ET's. I run what I brung, as it were.

Full weight and tire pressures be damned!

93 octane

I spin a lot in 1st and 2nd even with traction control on, and I don't care. I'm not turning off traction control because I'm not a good enough driver to turn off driver safety measures. Some guys will have the skinniest dude drive their car to minimize vehicle weight when recording runs. Nobody drives my car but me and I'm 6'4" & 285lbs. Some guys do their runs with a tablespoon of gas in the tank - I keep the tank full by filling up every time I'm half empty.

I'm with you on that last paragraph.
I always do my runs with at least a 1/2 tank of gas and a cooler with ice water on the passenger side floor.
My friends laugh at me but I like to know what the car can run worst-case scenario.

LOL! I'll at least eat salad instead of a triple cheeseburger before track day! That's gotta be worth a tenth!
