Default cat back system option

Considering the following:
1. Speedtech 3" mufflerless x pipe
2. Kline system with no cat
3. Sharkwerks
Is Kline also modular?
What do you recommend? Can't seem to find any info on kline with stock cat. I just want to know the sound.

Kline is complete also. I also like Europipe 50 or 100 cell cats Stage 1 or 2.
Of those on your list I have owned a Kline Iconel and loved it on a previous 911. So I would go there. I’m on an EP now 100 cell cats.

You don't happen to have a chance to use Kline with stock cat, do you? I'm in CA and trying to avoid any headache..

Had SW on my 997GTS, and now on my 991.1TTS. Some mild drone at 2k rpm. Otherwise, IMO, very nice.

I meant Kline system with stock cat but just came to find out that Kline is not compatible with stock cats.

Go for 200cel cat, cleaner sound. The stock cats are really restricting and muffled the exhaust sound, and creates drone too.

As above, on my '15 TTS with stock cats and SW pipe, minimum drone @2k rpm, which is easy to avoid.

I had a 2.5" SpeedTech X-Pipe without mufflers installed with the OEM cats a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it!

There is no drone at cruise, and it's a deeper tone and just the right amount of extra loud for me. When in Sport Mode, the deceleration gurgles are wonderful, which are completely absent with the OEM system, while at WOT, the turbo whoosh and deeper flat 6 tone and sound volume are outstanding. You also lose a lot of weight compared to the OEM muffler.

SpeedTech is modular so you can go with their cats, w/ OEM cats, or cat-less on their system. If you want to go louder, go with the 3" version, but I wanted to keep the car somewhat civilized for longer road trips, which it is in Normal mode. I also wanted to avoid emission inspections headaches, which are an issue in my state, and I used to live in CA, so understand your concerns as well. That's why I kept the OEM cats in addition to avoiding any CPO warranty headaches.

The SpeedTech systems are a bargain compared to other options without sacrificing quality, and John D. is a pleasure to work with.

Thanks everybody for chiming in. I really wanna go for 200 cells but as Foosh said, im in CA and really dont want to deal w smog inpection hassle. The smog shop i go to is quite laid back and he just admires my cars and doesnt really pay attention to all the details lol. But i would be still taking chnaces w aftermarket cats. I think ill go w sharkwerks or speedtech x pipe first and see. Thanks again all.

Good luck - no matter what you choose, it will be better than stock!

I had the Speedtech 2.5" x-pipe with stock cats, it was a bit quiet for me.
I upgraded to the Speedtech 3" x-pipe with 100 cel cats and it is perfect, but since you are in California...

Try the 3" x-pipe with stock cats first, it might be just perfect for you.
