AFAIK, there's only the center muffler. There are cats upstream. That's it. Replace the center muffler with the Sharkwerks and you're set. DO NOT remove the cats! Note how they refer to the Sharkwerks as an "exhaust" not a muffler. They also don't call it a straight pipe, but I don't think there are any baffles in it, so it's really just a way to route the exhaust gases out the back. It doesn't do much if any "muffling."

I can't speak for the videos since I don't know what their owners did. But on the turbo, the exhaust sound is quieted enough with just the cats and Sharkwerks, without being too loud.

I honestly dont see how anyone could get behind the wheel of a turbo or turbo S and not end up with a big smile on their face after driving one.

Thanks for all the input and kind words . Im definitely glad i went with the porsche. Gonna personalize it a bit , but nothing too over the top. Was considering making the car all black/rhodium silver. Maybe clear taillights/marker lights then black calipers, black wheels, black porsche turbo script.

Hey everyone, for your reference below is a direct comparison between the exhaust systems of a 991T and a 991 GT3 albeit with a few of our upgrades to make what I consider our most popular street combinations. The sound potential of both cars are vastly different, but are superb in their own way.

991 GT3 (Fabspeed Sport Headers and Valved Side Muffler Bypass Pipes, Factory Center Muffler)

991 Turbo (Fabspeed Sport Headers, Sport Cats, Supersport X-Pipe, and Polished Chrome Quad Tips)

For the 991T our Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust System (Street Version with Sport Cars) provides the exhaust note it should have been from factory. Throaty, sporty, and aggressive at full throttle with an excellent pop when shifting, more sound from the turbos, and a nicely accentuated burble/overrun on decel. Off throttle it is quite subtle and comfortable for driving on the highway and around town. Essentially a mild-to-wild setup based on throttle input, but not so wild as to be overbearing.

For those wanting something more intense, we do offer the setup catless as our Race Version of our Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust System. Much more aggressive on full throttle, much more turbo noise, and the overrun is stupendous.

As with any catless setup on turbo cars I would recommend pairing the Race Version with one of our custom tunes to maximize drivability, and eliminate the CELs from running without the primary cats. Tuning is always an easy and reliable way to make HUGE performance gains on these cars. We have seen in excess of 100whp/wtq with just basic exhaust, intake, tuning solutions.

I was in the market for a new turbo, not S, due to the price difference and I really didn't see a need for some of the things that came with the turbo. I ended up buying used, and went with the S due to the fact that the price difference is not as drastic for pre owned. The car is amazing all around, but to my surprise, one of the things that impressed me most was the ceramic brakes. I am still not sure I would pay for them new, but when buying used, as I said, there is a significant savings. So if one is to buy used, get the S, and everything that comes with it.

Congrats npp!!! Thats a beauty , very well optioned too. Clear lights would look sharp on yours definitel.I need to get to the tint place this next week. Also need to get a sun screen for the front windshield.I figure if
Im already having suncoast ship me that i may as well get clear marker lights, and the lamin x to blackout all the red on the back of my car. I will be plasti dipping my script on the rear as well. Probably remove the tips and do them black as well.
Im with you on the exhaust , the stock turbo exhaust is really tame, but im sure many prefer that.

Prsdoc--
thx so much. The silver seat backs and silver belts were a cool combo.
Pics never do these cars justice. So much better in person!
