treat PPF like you would original paint.

i use xpel ultimate and then ceramic coat on top of that. at the very least i'd finish a hand wash and decontamination with a paint sealant, like mezerna.

Wax or seal it regularly if you do not have it coated. Use a dye-free wax or sealant.

I have the Expel Sealer and Cleaner.
Never used the Sealer on my 13 Boxster yet, looks like new still.-Richard

Good to know. I don’t like using chemical solvents outside a lab with the engineering controls and personal protective equipment.
Will see how the film holds up without the sealant.

I used to use bare hands when cleaning lab equipment with solvents and only used a hood when using Hydrofluic acid to etch Niobium.
Today I use nyplex gloves for everything with ventilation!

I was told by the installer who did my car (before I bought it) to use quick detailer and/or spray wax. Nothing that contains petroleum products like some paste waxes do as that can cause the film to yellow. He didn't say anything about sealant.
