Default Contemplating putting racing stripes on the car. Thoughts?

Every few months I get the itch to change up the styling of my car, and lately I've been thinking about doing a stripe kit. I've pretty much narrowed down my options to one specific set from KI Studios, and wanted to get everyone opinion on it. My car is platinum silver, so I'm thinking of doing the stripes with the red trim to match the calipers (as seen in the pic), however I cant decide if I should do matte silver stripes to make the appearance more subtle, or do I go with matte black instead so they really pop? I'm also undecided on the stripes for the side. Not sure if I want...

What do you guys think?

Aero is TechArt Type II wing & front lip. GT3Tek diffuser. (see profile pic)

Thanks for the heads up, and I'm glad you haven't forgotten about me. I saw you got the GT3, congrats!

Thanks my dude.

As for the graphics... well... if it were me, I’d go for something a little more OEM in look.

i personally like graphics but then again, I like my cars a bit more “expressive.”

have you considered 911R style stripes?

I also think that white and silver cars pull off martini stripes pretty well and there’s a company named magnagrafik who sells a ton of high energy magnetic liveries that you can pull off and swap as your mood changes.

Those stripes are similar to what you would find on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia ... generally, Ferrari goes darker on the lighter colors and lighter on the darker colors. They would do a darker gray on the silver which might look good with your black rims. I don't think a silver or lighter silver is going to show up very well.

I like the red trim and would go black over silver, for contrast. Those actually look pretty good. I like the side stripes, too.

I'm not a stripe guy myself, but those seem pretty tasteful.

That all matches up with my thoughts, including the red trim and black main stripe for your silver car. I've admired that particular K2 stripe set over the years, sides included (and I don't l generally like most side stripes). I think with your aerokit and diffuser it will look sharp.

It is pretty close to the 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 stripe scheme which has also been a favorite for me.

I have GT silver too, and if I was to do the stripes, I would go red outline and Matt silver, subtle

You know, on second look I think I'll change my vote on black and go with AlexLou. I think the original stripes you show would look awfully good. They are dark enough to contrast with the silver nicely, especially with the red borders.

I’m thinking those grey stripes would look pretty great on my Guards Red T. +1 for “Do it!”

I’m trying to decide same on the GT silver and keep referring to this KI version. Like the subtle matte dark gray with red trim... maybe... and 4.0 on the side. Silver is trickier than white for subtle stripes...

I’ve done it before and regretted it. I think in pictures they look great, in person, stickers on a Porsche looked cheap. The sun shines off them different than the rest of the car and it doesn’t turn out like you see it in your mind. Just my opinion, but been there, done that, and I’d never do it again.
