It's against the law in Colorado, and people still do it. Our left lane law requires cars to drive in the right or middle lane on highways where the speed limit is 65mph or higher, unless they are passing another vehicle.

In NK driving a Prius in the left lane is an automatic 10 years in the slammer, living off used cardboard pizza boxes.
Seriously though, our club let a Prius sign up for a track weekend because the driver wanted to learn the track ahead of a chump car race two weeks later. He did okay and it was kinda fun..

Yeah, but I have never seen that enforced. Likewise, when I lived in Alaska, and slow vehicles with five or more cars behind are required to pull over--but I never saw that enforced, either.

Oh, you're not the only one. I had to pop into the grocery for only a few items on the way home. I'm at least 100ft from the entrance and there are literally dozens of spots closer to the door than I am. I wasn't inside more than 5 minutes and I believe every vehicle in this shot was there when I went in, with the exception of one. No spoilers, you'll have to guess.

My youngest son got pulled over for it on I-25 between Denver and Fort Collins. They let him go with a warning, but it taught him a lesson (one that I tried repeatedly to teach).
