Dom, Thanks for posting. I've been mulling this mod over for a while.
My car is silver on black, black top and chrome badges. I've been tempted by the dark side (headlights, wheels, badges, etc.)
I think bling is the way to go.

Nice...I hope they did not charge for leaving your spoiler up.

Finally installed the GTS grille on my C4S. Looks so much better than the original one IMO.

So does anyone have install instructions or a video for this grille kit?

I believe about the same as a 991.2, in which case it's a matter of popping the engine lid, undoing four (or six?) fasteners from the bottom, and lifting. Installation is the reverse of removal.

An earlier post in this year-old thread states that it's "VERY straightforward" so I couldn't imagine it being much different than a .2!

Thank you for the help, I found some pics of the 991.1 removal, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Has anyone else on here done this to a GTS with a Duck spoiler or the Cup Aerokit? I read that it needs a "blanking plate" I am assuming that will be on the factory grille I remove?

Yes, on your original grill there is a black blank, which is easily removed. It is really strange, but there is an electrical connection that fits into the blank! I assume this is due to the fact that the wiring harnesses for cars with ducktails must be the same as without. Very easy install, you take out 6 torq screws and then you need to lift up and pop out the grill. There are little numbs that snap in and out of place between the grill and rear deck lid.

thank you, I am going to install tomorrow after they deliver my GTS. Mine has a factory cup aero kit, is there any reason it wouldn’t fit? Sun coast says you have to have the painted grille, but I have seen plenty of cup aero kits with the black grille online.

Yes. There are two DIY threads with photos on this forum titled “Rear Lid Grill Removal” and “Third Brake Light Removal”. Sorry I do not have link. As easy as an oil change.

I love these grills so much. I am still trying to get myself to stomach the price. I am definitely doing the 3rd radiator first.

Same, I love the look, hated the stock plantation shutter look. It was super easy install, no regrets... Brings back an aircooled grill look. The price was hard to swallow, but in hindsight it's a deal compared to $1700 for painted interior trim (which I did myself last week end for $40 with matching color, clear, etc).
Honestly Porsche are highway robbers on most parts - the one exception I found pound for pound are the caliper bolts - LOL - It's a solid unit for $4 (or whatever it was) ;-)

Even their 3rd radiator for around $600 felt reasonable to me too. It's cheaper than their carbon shift **** LOL
