991S widebody wheels vs. narrow body wheels
#16
Thanks, this site is a great reference. But that's just simple math... I know the 4s wheels will be pushed out 18mm from where the 2s wheels would be (because 70-52)...
The bigger question is if anyone has actually done this or if I have 18mm to spare on the narrow body. But I guess I'll just have to measure when the car arrives and see if there's enough space!

Did you go with Savini Wheels rims what was the offset? Thanks.

did you key in your wheels and tires? If the only difference is the off set then yes it will poke out 18mm as you stated. Often wheel are different width, tires are different widths and off set is different.
you are going to poke out more. Not an issue but might toss more dirt on the car.
I put narrow body body on my 4S. They sit in a little deeeper. No spacers. It a winter set and I would like less thrown on car. Because the wheels are a little wider it’s of by 7mm.
some people like poked out wheels to look more aggressive.
Assuming the car car has not been lowered poking out 18 will not affect anything.

Hi, do you recall what rim size did you go with my are 56 offset 20X11. I think they will be 20mm wider than stock classic rims from a 991.1S. if you have pictures of what yours look like from the side- lmk.

Here's a bunch of pretty good high res shots of my old car where you can get a good idea of the fitment and look of that setup. Remember this car was spec'd with PASM so it had the 10mm lower suspension.

I did get these Savinis. I no longer have the car now but the setup was 20 x 9 up front and 20 x 11 in the rear. Can't remember the offsets but according the website it looks like they are running 45 offset in the rear. I did not have any rubbing issues except for the occasional full compression occurrence (like a hard dip on the highway or something).

Well I hope you are right. From what I read on ... they are 20MM wider so I have to wonder how much they will stick out (cause chips) and will it make the rider harder.

The spacer in the front is 10 mm. That makes the offset 40 mm. Your offsets are 1 mm off from mine, front and rear. Just zoom to get a closer look.

I'm running +50 in the front and +70 in the rear on my C2S and they fit perfect!
