$3400 40k service cost for 991.1 ?????
I have a 2016 Carrera 4 with 24000, and every year, on anniversary of purchase, it goes to the dealer for service. Last year at 19,700 it had its 30k service and now the dealer recommends the 40k/4 year service at a whopping $3440!!! that is just there base service without any other incidentals, and I know that I need brakes pads (which I was previously told on my last 991, would need to be both pads and rotors). The 30k cost me 550. The only major diff is the plugs at 40K. Does this quoted price seem insane?
This is my 5th 911 since 2000. I don't ever recall a service noting more than 2200 previously. I have a few cals into the other dealers locally. The local indy shop is less than half the price.
Thoughts?

Three Wheelin'
i just had the 40K service done a few weeks ago. i asked them to do the drive belt as well, which would normally be done at the 60k service. out the door for $1200 at my local indy.
so, yeah, $3400 seems a bit much.

Burning Brakes
What's included? Can you post a copy of the estimate?
Brake pads and rotors at 24k miles? How's that possible?

25k when i took in my ‘14 Carrera S. 3 years in, so they did the 40k service. $2100. I do my own 5k oil/filter change. Coming up now for another oil service and will go to indy for that- $200. $3400 is really high for 40k service even if it includes brake pads.
Do you track your car? 24k miles and needing brakes? At 25k all my brakes pads still had 70% left.

Not outrageous dealership pricing IF brakes and rotors at all 4 corners.

NOOOO...
that's without brakes....
I know my local indy charges about 1200 for this as well (he takes care of men 911sc too)
regarding brakes, I seem to go through pads every 25k...DC traffic is crawl to 85 back to crawl all day long

That is an insane price, do not do it. You can try another dealer or definitely an indy. Without the incidentals and brakes that is a terrible price for a 40K service. Shop around. Sounds like a dealer that has no close proximity competition.

It's been about 3 years since I had the 4 yr service done on my previous 991 - I hope prices haven't gone up that much for service. If they have, I might be giving Intersport a closer look sooner than I thought...
