I'm the second owner of the car, and they were black when I got it. And I'm pretty sure they weren't black when the car was built. And I didn't even consider it when I was thinking about price - I liked them black.
I don't think it helps or hurts. Black is in fashion today, but may not be tomorrow.

Silver on my summer rims and black on the winter setup. Best of both worlds. Changing it up twice a year makes a difference - to me at least.

These look great—curious how they've held up to rock spray/chips this way vs the factory black paint? I have noticed that modern wheel paint looks bad quickly...makes me wonder if it is very soft. Powder-coated finishes are thus pretty interesting...
