I'm the second owner of the car, and they were black when I got it. And I'm pretty sure they weren't black when the car was built. And I didn't even consider it when I was thinking about price - I liked them black.
I don't think it helps or hurts. Black is in fashion today, but may not be tomorrow.
After I had my GTS for a while I decided I didn't care for the black wheels, so I had them Powder Coated Porsche Platinum Satin. Change the car completely.

These look great—curious how they've held up to rock spray/chips this way vs the factory black paint? I have noticed that modern wheel paint looks bad quickly...makes me wonder if it is very soft. Powder-coated finishes are thus pretty interesting...
