Did seal replacement ever fully resolve this or did it eventually lead to window regulator?
My Fidelity warranty I think won't likely cover seals, but will cover window regulator - don't want to bother paying for seals eventually to have window regulators fail when that was it all along.

I have 991.1S Cab and had issue where rear window would stop several times on the way up and even required some help to seal all the way up. The issue appears to be that the sensor on the windows is very sensitive to any resistance and will stop the window if it feels resistance. I bought silicone lubricant and lubricated all the rubber seals that the window touches including on the convertible top and that took care of it since it helped the window slide into position with little to no resistance.
