Default Anyone with Rear Apron Painted?

I am not a fan of that plastic rear apron piece at all.

Has anyone specd a car with it painted or has seen a photo of it painted black? I would like to match it to my black C4 and cannot find any painted black examples

I have mine painted with the factory option in White, for the same reason as you; I hate black plastic. But, since your car is already black, I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think it would be a huge different if you are getting a black car. Mine is Racing Yellow and I didn't get the factory painted option as I didn't want to pay double for it (110% tax in here). After I drove it for a year, I had it painted and it looked much better.

For me I had mine painted on my 991.2 and cut vents into it-in the end I didn’t care for the look and had it painted in the oem finish which I like much better. I think it’s up to personal preference and maybe black will show it better. Is yours a 991.1 or 991.2 and does it have the sport exhaust?

Freshly painted

Repainted to the oem Matt finish

I think the painted version makes the rear end look fat.

I hate Black plastic as well and had the rear painted (as well as the side skirts & front spoiler lip):

Get what you want but the rear Valance is much cleaner looking, painted.

I strongly agree. Yours looks so good painted. Did you consider painting the middle exhaust part as well?

‘Looks great Bob. Do you have a photo of your front painted as well? Did you pay much to get that done? Assume the rear apron is the original one that you had painted, vs buying the rear apron from Porsche that is paintable?

It’s not recommended to paint the middle piece as the exhaust heat can discolor It. It’s also a different material (rougher, heavier plastic) so not sure if the finish will be the same.

No, I didn't but that's a great idea and I have someone who can do it.

Hey Bob, since you painted that piece between the pipes..is it still fine? Someone mentioned avoiding painting that piece since it is close to the pipes, so interested how yours has faired. My paint guy said it would be fine but curious with yours, thank you.
