Default Speed Yellow regrets?

I am coming from a fabulous 981 Boxster that's white, and thinking about purchasing a Speed Yellow 991.2 911. Does anyone have regrets after buying a Speed Yellow car?

I loved my 997 Speed Yellow Carrera S! It hides the dust and swirl marks a lot better than my Carmine Red 991.2!

My only regret is that I don't have one.

The 911 is a car that can easily pull off yellow. I'm not a yellow fan but I'd rock a yellow 911.

I got a Lava Orange 911 S, coming from a white Cayman GTS. While it's not Speed Yellow, I think the concept of an in-your-face color is the same. No regrets at all. IMNSHO, these cars really deal well with bright colors.

Attention as in good attention ie Fabulous babes wanting tp go for a ride? Or bad attention...like the police follow you home from a bar attention?

I think you mean Racing yellow. Otherwise, it would be a PTS car.

Glad you asked. No.

"If someone was to..... buy a yellow car it could suggest that person has a naturally fun and playful personality. It could also suggest that they like to do things differently than other people. They don’t care so much about other people’s opinions or conforming to the norms of society. They don’t like to be conventional and they place high value on being unique. Possibly an extroverted personality that has a strong desire for attention and being noticed, or perhaps just a desire to express themselves and to be unique."

Are you in there somewhere?

I get where you're coming from. Last year I was looking for a very specific spec on a Carrera T and really wanted to buy new.

I found two - a sharp looking black one with a rather poor spec and a sunroof, as well as a punched warranty and hundreds of miles... and one new delivery miles T in a perfect specification, but Racing Yellow.

I had never owned a yellow car in my life and I wasn't seeking it out. The most adventurous color I had previously was Carmine Red on a GT4.

I am man enough to admit I agonized over the same question. I searched and read many other threads on Rennlist about yellow Porsches and asked around.

Some people will say resale value is "hit or miss" because it's a bit harder to move a yellow car. Others will say that it gets unwanted attention from LEOs.

On the whole though, most people are pretty positive about the color. However, for me personally, I really had doubts I could bond with a yellow car.

Until I drove down to LA finally see the car in the metal.

It looked fantastic -- I signed the paperwork, drove it home, and after nearly one year of ownership and 8K miles, I have zero regrets.

If anything, the color has been growing on me over time. My only regret is that I seem to be taking way too many pictures of it. Seriously, I don't normally take pictures of my cars. For some reason I felt compelled to create an instagram account for this one...
