Default 991.1 PDK service

New owner here so sorry if been asked before but looked around and couldn’t find a specific thread.

My 2014 991.1 C2 has 33,000km/20000miles on it. Due for its annual service next month. I do not believe the PDK has had its oil changed since new. Book says 12 years or so. To me that’s too long and I read somewhere else 997.2 PDK cars recommend it at 6 years.

What have all of you done here for your PDK? I’m aware it’s not a cheap service, but far cheaper than a brand new box.

My PDK overheated a few times so I changed my fluids a few months ago just for preventative maintenance. Probably was fine but worth the money in my mind.

I did mine at 120,000 miles.

I'd drive on unless you are experiencing issues.

In my estimation the 997.2 interval was extended for the 991 because Porsche learned through real usage observation that 6 yrs/60,000 miles was far too soon to be necessary. I am at 62,000 and have no plans to change it In the near term.

A very timely thread. I have a 2013 991.1 with 62k and have been getting quotes for the service. I see it as a recommended service for 60k/6 years but since the car is a 13 should I go ahead and get it done? Thanks.

I did mine at 5 years, 16k miles. I think that was the recommendation for fluid change (time) for the GT3. Personally, I don't want fluid anywhere for 120k. I am a bit OCD, my oil is changed every 1,000 to 1,500 miles, which are mostly track miles.

On my 991.1, I change PDK clutch oil at 6 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first. Cost $530 at Porsche dealer. I will change it again and change pan filter too at 12 years or 120,000 miles whichever comes first. New pan and filter part cost is additional $400-500.

A very timely thread. I have a 2012.5 991.1 S with 64k miles I was under the impression it has 2 services one at 60k/6Y or 120K/12Y. One requires a filter change and other only requires an oil change. So I am due for both but mine drives great still. What should I expect to pay for 6Y, 12Y?

Thanks.

I had mine done earlier in the year, cost was around $8-900 I think. I only trust the dealer when it comes to handling the PDK, if anything, just for insurance.

just did my clutch and pdk fluids as well. Shifting is a little smoother especially when dropping into 1st gear when coming to a stop. Otherwise feels about the same. Total cost was $700 from my dealer which seemed reasonable and I did it at 10-years as preventative (40k miles).
