Default Wheel Damage, Should I Be Concerned?

Caught some damage at the edge of the road and took a pretty had knock. Obviously the tire is trash, should I be concerned with the damage to the wheel, or just replace the tire?

Thanks!

If it is still true round you are good to go.

You should know when the wheel is balanced and if you don't feel anything weird when you drive.

Then again, you might run into a PCA concourse judge...

I would just replace the tire but check the air pressure daily. If there's a slow leak (or vibration when you drive) then replace the wheel.

Looks like superficial damage to me. My CPO rims looked similar on the inside lip (from the prior owner), but had them properly refinished. Aside from a slightly darker wheel center color tone (better hides brake dust), the repaired wheel is indistinguishable from new. Reshaped inside lip bead, stripped OEM finish, machined polished outside lip, powder coated non-machined part, and now being ceramic coated next week. They will now serve as my Winter wheel setup. You should just have then professional refinished.

I agree. Check the lateral and axial run-out. Chances are if the wheel is still straight it was not damaged beyond the surface scars.

I think you will be fine since there's no visible bent or cracks.
