How do you fully enjoy your 911?
Recently purchased a 991.1 C2S. I really enjoy it but seems too fast for the road especially here in NJ. How do you enjoy your 911? Do you take it to the track? Go out to some country roads? Or just appreciate the car driving slow?

I drive it year-round and treat it like any other car. Grocery store? Sure. Icey lake? Why not! A training course with a road surface equivalent to 6.2 grit sandpaper? I guess so!
It's definitely a lot of car, and wildly more car than necessary for driving on public roads.

I find some back roads and have fun with it. If I see other cars, bikes, pedestrians, horses, etc., I drive the speed limit. Nothing too crazy, but enough to let me experience how great the car really does handle!

I live on a winding country road in the Blue Ridge foothills. It's very popular with car clubs and cyclists. I drive my car every chance I get and can wind out 1st gear and get part way into 2nd without being too much of an ***. Mostly farms and hayfields, just have to watch out for the deer.

I have found I don’t need to drive my 991.1 fast to enjoy and appreciate it, but it’s certainly at its best at speed. I’ve got driving teenage kids and three cars so my car insurance cost is excessive – for this reason, I mostly take it easy to avoid speeding tickets and even crazier insurance cost! But I enjoy driving the 911 every time I take it out no matter what speed, road or destination. Pretty regularly, I just go for a drive.

Taking my 6 year old son around in it (he's into cars like his daddy)
Any opportunity when the weather is nice
I enjoy the sounds of that 3.8 liter NA with PSE on, windows down

I love being active with our local Porsche Club of America (PCA) chapter. We have multiple great drives enjoying the back roads in our state (IA) and surrounding states with overnight and multi day drives. Also awesome social events with great same minded people. If you have not yet joined, do it NOW! Even if you’re not able to participate in all the activities, you will get a decent discount at the dealership for service and parts and a great monthly magazine. And the cost is peanuts! Join here: PCA .

4 day round trip last week from Western Washington to Minneapolis. Split seat time with my wife’s 22 year old son before dropping him off. He just graduated college and curls for the USA. Final leg Thursday Butte to Issaquah was a spiritual experience. Spent 4 days trying to mash the gas pedal thru the firewall and she didn’t disappoint. The only deficiency I’ve found is that she loses a little steam pulling thru 6th… 👀 Trip total below.
Carnage.
Vantage. Just over 2 hours remaining.
She cleans up nice.

Best answer really depends on what type of driving you enjoy. NJ has way too much traffic almost everywhere, but I've recently driven it to Florida and back for a long weekend. I'm (very) wary of getting pulled over for speeding, so while I won't swear I strictly drive 65 mph, I'm not someone who cruises at triple digits, no matter how empty the roads. Find the twisty roads, maybe uphill so you can hear that engine rev, and enjoy it. Usually early Sunday mornings.
