Default Hunting for 991.1

Sold my 993 turbo after 12 years of enjoyment and now looking to dip my toe in the water (cooled) era. I like the 991.1 and have been lurking here for some time now.

Anyhow, found one in amaranth red metallic - interesting color. https://www.hendersonchevy.com/inven...b2a94ds121938/

does anyone by chance know of this car or history of it? How does one get a build sheet from its VIN?

Appreciate the help and look forward to being able to contribute to the 991 forum!!

Few cell phone images of the turbo

Interesting colour combo for sure. Try this VIN Decoder - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums or Porsche Build Sheets and Window Stickers by VIN | VIN Analytics

As someone who had a Ruby Red Metallic 991, I can tell you that you found a really nice/rare combo. Hopefully the rest checks out and you can buy the car. They are unbelievably pretty in person, pics almost Never do justice to these colors.

Carfax didn't show any concerns (for whatever that is worth) so If it's the color you want then move quickly. I have a friend looking for a 991.1S at the moment (not red so you're safe ). When priced right, these cars are selling within days - some are gone within 24-hours.

Nice looking car.

wondering why it's not showing any/zero service history for the first roughly 6 years and 30k miles? maybe they used an dealer or indy that doesn't report to carfax? maybe a DIY'er??

hopefully it has some documentation/hard copies to show it was maintained properly. that would be something i'd look into

As a follow up - last weekend my wife and son and I visited Vegas, stayed a few nights and looked at this car. Made a deal, shook hands and I fly back to Vegas this Saturday to pick it up!

During the week we have wired funds, placed the car on our insurance and even purchased a Fidelity Platinum extended warranty.

Is it wrong to be ordering parts for a car I do not have yet?

Lots planned to change the car to my liking.

Congrats and Welcome! You're not alone. I started buying mods for my car before I even took ownership. That ensured me that there was no turning back! lol

Talking The Seller & The Car

Chris is one of the more knowledgable Porsche "Geeks" on our little world...very technical. He made the famous "Walrod Bushings" for the 993 car...of curse I had a set. His TT car...most incredible. Had I the space and the money, I would have bought it. I do hope he joins the 991 community...he will be an exceptional contributor. Big Chris fan here..know him for years!

Whoa, that's a gorgeous color! It's seems to be nicely appointed, too. Here's to many years of safe & happy (s)miles with this one too!
