Default 991.1 Carrera S - 6 year/60K miles PDCC reservoir replacement

How many of you with the PDCC system have had the PDCC reservoir replaced at the 6 year or 60K mile maintenance interval? I've been trying to get this taken care of for over 3 months and with no luck. In late June, the dealership told me the parts were in so I scheduled the service. Once they got my car they said "sorry, all of the parts are not in." I was told they don't have the o-ring required for the replacement. They had my car for ~3 weeks and could never tell me when they would get the part so I picked it up. I did email and call Porsche USA to see if they could help and they have been no help. So, 3 months later no one can tell me when they will get all parts for the required PDCC maintenance. I'm a bit surprised for a required maintenance item that they don't have the parts and that after 3 months they still cannot let me know when they will get the parts. Thanks for the help!

I'm coming up on the milage myself and have the PDCC. I can't find any YouTube videos on 911 PDCC (Only Cayenne) and I haven't found the relevant section in the service manual. Not even sure where the reservoir is located, heh.

I did it once but will not have it done again unless the system develops a leak.

Thanks for the link. It's amazing the different quoted prices for that task from dealers. Your costs seem to be pretty decent ($123 for a brake flush is good, IMO!) but then the Turbo guy is getting quoted $2400. Weird.

I was going to do the serpentine belt myself but not the PDCC, being that you have to basically get back there for the PDCC, I'll have them do the belt too.

I did it earlier this year on my 991.2, which is largely the same as the 991.1. It's a messy job and a lot of crap is in the way, but by no means is it difficult.

Parts were readily available six months ago and FCP Euro still lists the PDCC reservoir as ready to ship. Not sure what O-ring your dealer is waiting on, the only O rings I dealt with doing mine came preinstalled in the reservoir.

Sounds like you need to call an indy -- no real reason to use a dealership for a 2012.

Thanks for that link. I don't seem to have luck with the search since I remember this post and couldn't find it. Sorry for starting a new thread. I've been quoted $1300 for the PDCC service and they would install a new serpentine belt for just the material. My issue is they keep telling me they can't get the parts. If they can't get the parts then I shouldn't be able to get the parts either. I did look into the FCP EURO site that others just suggested. It looks like they have the part. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they have 100% of the parts for the complete PDCC service event. (reservoir plus all o-rings, fluids, etc..)

I had mine done a couple years back for around $1200 at dealer in the SF Bay Area (expensive labor market). Next time if I need to change it I will have an indy do it as I assumed they needed a PIWIS to do all the PDCC calibration after this service. The hacked Chinese PIWIS I bought can do the the calibration run so if anything I can bring mine in if the indy doesn't have one. I def wouldn't want do this service myself with all the fluids.

Default I.ordered bottle and had indy do it

For $400. Go online. All you need is bottle and juice. I think the reason they pdcc units fail is because there is a filter built into bottle and people dont service.

Great write up. I am looking at doing this myself. I was wondering why you won't do it again. Was the job difficult? Or did you think it necessary?

EDIT: Sorry, mis-read your response. I understand that you had the dealer do this...and now I know why. Looks bloody awful, if not impossible, for a DIY.
