From a file perspective does it work with Apple or Windows only?

I recently installed the Softronic tune on my 718 Spyder, which has a 4.0 NA engine, and I am very impressed. I had a Cobb tune on my 991.2 Targa GTS and in hindsight I wish I had gone with the Softronic. And for what it is worth, both cars had/have headers, high flow cats and a Race exhaust (on the Spyder) so the sound matches the power!

Interesting and nice write up and video. How much extra was the handheld device, didn’t see it listed just that it was an option? Also, seemed like a pretty quick update, reminds me of the old Cobb access port I used to use on Subarus and I never heard of the battery charger when doing this. Was it just extra protection?

For what it is worth I have installed tunes in many vehicles and have never used a battery charger, etc. albeit they were all newer vehicles, but when done they all started fine.

I have the Fabspeed tune on my 911. The MyGenius was included in the $2500 price. Not an extra either.

I have a Eurocharged tune on my AMG C43. They offered the MyGenius unit for $400 to do at home, or you could bring your car in and have them do the tune for $90 (plus the cost of the tune obviously, which i think was about $1300). They were close by (so is Fabspeed) so i just had them do it.

Perhaps late to the thread. Just installed the tune (July 2022).... It's amazing. Smooth, linear and with significant more power/torque when desired. Very much feels like how Porsche would tune it themselves.

This is exactly how I descirbe the experience to my customers. I feel that Softronic is a "No Brainer" purchase for most owners. I installed a Softronic tune on my customer's 2013 3.4L Base cab and the difference in feeling and excitement went far beyond the "claimed gains". It was a totally different car.

I'm really loving my Softronic tune on my 991.2 Carrera with PDK. I had the newer Cobb stage 1 before and this is way smoother and definitely feels like it makes more power. Partial throttle and around town it feels close to stock, where the Cobb had an exaggerated throttle response and ramp up which is what some tuners do to make it seem quicker than it is. At WOT the Softronic tune seems to deliver power in a more linear and smoother fashion, which means there is probably an even bigger power difference than my butt dyno is telling me

@jets I believe the answer to the question with THIS tune is that Porsche cannot detect that this tune was installed once the ECU is flashed back to stock configuration. What they can tell is that the ECU was flashed and that may or may not signal a red flag.

I've thought a lot about this concern and I've searched endlessly for any evidence that a tune like this one (or any off-the-shelf / stage-1 type tune) has caused known damage to an engine. In the unlikely even that it were to cause some sort of issue and you are out of the factory warranty period, what difference does it make if they can detect it or not. Seems like you'd have to pay for the repair anyway. I emphasize unlikely. Also remember that even if they could detect that you had installed this TUNE, that would only affect the warranty for any claim that could be caused by the tune. So say for example that your windshield wiper motors or door locks or air conditioning system stopped working within a warranty period, having a tune installed on your car could not cause a claim denial on that basis. This is all pure speculation on my part based on having spent countless hours searching and reading on this subject. But I have a Fidelity Platinum Plan and I have no worries whatsoever having this tune installed.
