Default 2013 991.1 carrera brakes

My brake light came on at 45k miles and I’m looking to do the brakeS myself. The dealer wants $3.5k front and rear and that’s ridiculous.

I just need street use. I don’t want to sacrifice performance much but I want to get rid of the squeal and reduce brake dust. I have read some earlier posts that debate the pros and cons but looking for the latest recommendations on alternate pads. I see Centric posi-quiet semi metallic and the Hawk 5.0 mentioned.

So I’m looking for help with a parts kit and where to buy. What OEM parts should I get and what alternated brands are ok. I need rotors, pads, bolts, sensors, brake clips. Do I really need to pay $68 for OEM spring clips? Also I have wheel spacers so do I need longer rotor retaining screws.

Suggestions much appreciated, Scott.

Go to fcpeuro, plug in your car and purchase any pads that say oe next to them. Will generally be pagid or textar, but occasionally jurid or akebono. They also have the ancillaries. I would reuse the spring clips, but get new bolts and obviously sensor.

Rotors from sebro or zimmerman are fine

I just bought the kit from FCP for my rears, I skipped the clips to save $120, the pads were textar and rotors zimmerman, both OEM level mfg's. Parts came quick and appear to be of high quality.

I did all 4 corners on my 2012 991.1 C2S about a year ago. I used Sebro slotted rotors from Pelican parts (currently $192 each for the fronts, and $150 each for the rears), and I bought Hawk HPS 5.0 pads locally. I also replaced the sensors because the old ones were brittle and broke just looking at them. I replaced the caliper bolts, too. I'm very happy with the braking performance of my car (I don't track it). Not much dust, either. I'd probably buy as much as I could from FCP Euro. Can't beat their life time replacement warranty!
I don't have spaces, but don't the spacers go on top of the rotors? So the retaining screw goes in first, then the space on top of the screw.

When I did the spacers on my 2012.5 991.1 the spacer came with longer wheel bolts and retaining screws. The retaining screws hold the spacer to the rotor. This was from Suncoast and an OE application. I did both front and rear

Thanks everyone. Any opinions on the lower dust, lower squeal pads from Hawk and Centric?
