I'm having issues with my 991.2 which the dealership has not been able to fix. I need an EXPERT on the 991.2 Can anyone recommend who the top Porsche mechanic in Los Angeles is? The issue I'm having is that the Engine Check error message keeps coming up. Something to do with the fuel system. I took it to Porsche a couple months ago, they diagnosed the issue (a stuck fuel gauge) and replaced it. It drove it home, worked fine for a few weeks, then I got the Engine Check message again. Took it back. They got a reading from the system, again something do do with the fuel system. They worked on it for a week, returned the car to me. Looked fine. I drove it home, everything good. The next afternoon (Friday), I go for a drive, accelerate, and the message comes on again. I called Porsche, they told me to bring it Monday AM and they'll do everything they can to identify and fix what's going on. I don't doubt they're trying to fix it, but what if this just keeps popping up again and again? So if it keeps appearing, I'm going to need another pair of eyes to look at it. Any recommendations you can make will be greatly appreciated.

You might want to share the details of the issue you’re experiencing as well as current dealer efforts to remedy it. There are a number of credible technicians and p car Indy shops in LA, but depending on the issue, one may be better than the other.

definitely list the symptoms and the troubleshooting steps so far and see if anyone can help.

How about for sound systems? My passenger side dash Burmester speaker is broken. Took it in to Porsche South Bay and they said there was nothing wrong. I was like, huh? I got in the car with the SA and easily demonstrated the issue. I ended up taking my car back as it had been there for a week already and they did not have a replacement part anyway. This is just one of many Porsche South Bay ineptitude stories. I go there because it is so much closer to home for me than where I purchased my two 911s, at DTLA. Since I am out of warranty, I suppose I should think outside of the box and consider non-dealership options. If anyone has a recommendation, that would be much appreciated, thanks.

Buy a new speaker and replace yourself? It's typically not hard to remove door panels for speaker replacements. I've done it on most of the cars I've owned in order to upgrade them.

Hmm - I will see if there is a DIY here on RL. It is actually the speaker in the dash on the passenger side. Thanks for the input.

Why not take it to Reus Audio and have your system done right? This is a high-end, exotic car audio system designer who does a lot of Porsches.

When I was searching for mechanics, came across Callas Rennsport, Red Line Service, Rstrada, and TLG Auto to name a few. Haven't used any of them yet, but found each through recommendations on here.

Contact PCNA and get Germany involved.
Your local Porsche technician merely reads fault codes and will replace parts until the problem goes away.
They won't even examine or diagnose the supposedly faulty parts.
To call them mechanics is a stretch nowadays..
