Default Help! How to tell if it’s a carerra 4?

I’m looking at a 911 tonight; seems like a great deal.

cars been debadged; but is listed by an Audi dealer as C4

how so I tell if it’s a 4 or a base?

Update::
——

As it turns out it’s NOT a 4 as advertised; which means it is not a “take my money today” deal.

I do believe it’s an honest mistake as the car is just on the lot today.

it’s still a reasonable price; so I’ll do my research this weekend & maybe make an offer Monday.

thank you everyone!!!

All 4’s are widebody like GTS/GT3.

For 991.1's all 4 and 4S's also has a light bar across the back.

Base 4's have black brakes and the 4S's have larger red brakes.

Post a link to the car.

Can’t you just search the VIN?

Did that; but the two websites I tried said:
Carerra / Carerra 4

Do you need all wheel drive? AWD serves two purposes in modernish Porsches:

1) Putting gobs of power down. This is why Turbos are AWD. The new 992 Sport Classic has to be detuned to be RWD only.
2) Inclement weather. The C4/C4S/C4GTS/Turbo are beasts in bad weather, especially with the right tires.

If you don’t meet the criteria above I believe RWD will be a more rewarding driving experience.

I live in Austin and we (rarely) ever see a flake of snow, but purposely purchased a C4 over a C2 because I already had plans to highly modify the car. I’ve had so many RWD cars with big power that couldn’t put the the power down and would always spin the tires. Fun yes, but not when you’re trying to go fast.

So for me, it was using a base C4 to build a Baby Turbo S. I’ve seen too many complaints with RWD 991.2’s spinning with high horsepower (especially the base with the mechanical diff) and didn’t want that experience again. My C4 runs low 10’s on the street and traction is incredible. Not to mention, the wide GT3 body and the lightbar looks great.

That all makes sense. Share pics during the build!

Look at the screen when you turn it on and it tells you right there.

It’s been built and running like a champ - lots of videos over on Instagram to check out: https://www.instagram.com/911atx/

My best 1/4 mile on the street is a 10.2 @ 137 mph 👍
