Now that’s a parking spot!
First drive!
Now I gotta get used to parking a mile away!
.. at least I’ll get my steps in.

Should've parked near that curb, reduce the chance for someone to park next to 'ya. Gotta be maximum ****.
Hope you enjoy the car!

Three Wheelin'
congrats on the new ride!
yeah, i always: park on an end space, as close to the curb as possible, preferably not under a tree (bird poop and sap), back end of the lot, never take two spaces. like asellus said, max ****.

Human nature seems people are likely to be more lazy than smart-Aleck. Always park in the space which the back of your car currently abuts, facing out (facing away from the destination). The person who wants to be cute will realize as they pull alongside you that they'd rather be able to exit without backing out (when other cars show up) greater than being a wiseacre so will continue forward into the next space. It also hides the fact you are a recent P-car purchaser and likely a worthy target of goading (30-day paper plate). Also, a curbside space is almost always a better choice as previously noted diminishing your score somewhat. The rest of your tactics are worthy of a B minus score.
This is all tongue-in-cheek...

You got schooled OP!
The rest of you are all nuts. Of course, I follow the same rules.
Now, let’s talk about when is an appropriate time to do the look-back as you get your steps in………

You guy's notice that when you do park in the back forty you always have someone that has to go out of their way to park next to you? It's not that you're parking like a douche across multiple spots or anything and it's not always another nice car. I know I'll often park next to another nice car if options are limited hoping that person too appreciates nice cars and is careful with their car as well.
The wife's baby is her cherry Civic Type R. She always goes out of her way to park as far away as possible and it's astounding the number of times that car got dinged. It's like a magnet for this stuff. Rear bumper got taken off by a parking lot hit n' runner once. Then the most recent one she was in parked in the back of a parking lot. She was still sitting in her car (dark tinted windows) so she witnessed this first hand. Open spaces all around and a minivan had to park right next to her. The driver then proceeds to slam a baby car seat into her car as she's unloading her kids. WHY????

"The Look Back"...
I have had 7 Porsche cars, all have been "look back" worthy, especially my present ride, my 2017 Carrera GTS, the best of them all. If one has a Porsche car and you don't get the "look back" urge, it could be time to sell!!!
