Valve Stem Cap Complete DIY Mod Tutorial * SATIRE WARNING *
A little DIY satire to brighten the day. Here's my review of the Porsche brand Valve Stem Caps. You've been warned!

Great video! Next, can you make a tutorial about replacing the old air (or better yet, the old nitrogen) in the tires?
And please clarify - does your DIY apply to 991.1s?

Any other DIY vids on this? I followed step by step but still having problems.

Not to derail the thread, but I'm still curious about the benefits of filling the tires with nitrogen. Isn't the air that we breathe (and normally fill our tires with) roughly 79% nitrogen already?

Great video. I too successfully completed the cap swap about a year ago. I must admit though if I'd known the complexity of the process at that time, I would have seriously considered a visit to my local dealer.
OBTW, I do have a suggestion for your next DYI video...how to correctly position the Porsche crest on the wheel's hubcap.

Cute video; but the two wheels you showed, both hub caps were misaligned. The bottom of the crest should be pointing to the valve stem. Loss of concourse points.

@Southbranch Not sure about the 991.1 since this was a new generation. Consult your manual for the proper threading and diameter of the valve stem.
@Porsche_nuts Sadly, I couldn't find any vids so I had to just dive in and try. I did park outside my local Firestone and spied on the technicians while doing this and took notes.
@DBH Only problem with the dealer is the wait time for an appointment. I was able to do this in under an hour in my own garage. So I saved time and money.
Also, There's a lot debate on the Porsche crest on the wheel's hubcap. Some think it should point to the valve stem. I think it should point to the security lug bolt. I've search many hours in the Porsche litterature and still can't find answers.
@Jim M. I disagree. See above response.

This is the kind of quality content I come here for. It's really hard to find videos on how to properly install these things.
