Then drive the tire that isn’t losing air. If it gets damaged use the tire insurance you purchased. Move on with life.

You guys asking for written promises and new tires are nuts.

if they give you a new tire or leave the old one on would you even know? can you find the "damage"? seriously time to move on. you are thinking a partial puncture in the tire not enough to leak is the issue? I am **** about my cars but seriously? Have you ever plugged a tire? no big deal. I assume this tire is for street not that it even matters as I would use those on track too

I've thought about this, but under this situation I would get a plug, not a replacement.

I can find the damage, for what that is worth. My post is to get opinions on whether or not I should be concerned with this damage possibly causing a future problem. I have plugged tires, but have been told specifically not to if I am going to track the car. My son and I track his car and I have been thinking of taking this one out in the near future as well. I never plug his tires, which is much slower than this car.

I’ve pulled nails/screws/metal from my car tires over the years. As long as the tire holds air (check with soapy water for bubbles) it’s been fine until wear replacement.

For track use that’s another issue. Take no chances.

If it were me, I'd insist on a new tire.
