IMO the only way to properly change colors requires 100% tear-down and disassembly of every painted component. That means a bare body shell, doors, lids, and other parts. And that means removing all of the wiring harness. it can be done, but will cost at least $50k for labor and then paint work and supplies.

Carmine Red is stunning in real life. Don't decide without seeing it in the wild.

Big fan of Guards Red. This is my old 4S in GR. But I will say if I were to go red in a new 911 it would be Carmen.

While I like the Carmine Red I just think it gets a little too dark after the sun goes down while the Gaurds Red keeps light even in (after sunset) darkness.
This is Gaurds Red in full sun
And this was taken late afternoon (around 5pm) under a large dark display area with no lights

I prefer the carmine red to the guards red which appears to me to be a bit orange for my taste. Although both are beautiful. Just a personal preference. Ironically guards red is a standard Porsche color. Carmine red is a special color for which Porsche charges an additional $3500 or so on new vehicles. I couldn't see changing out a premium color for a standard one and reducing my resale value in the process. To each his own.
