Thanks. The plate and bracket are still in place, and the adhesive seems as strong as day 1.

I also have the Skene bracket, which affixes to the hidden inside fascia of the center radiator/blank opening. Installs without removing bumper.
Installed ~6 years / 30k ago. Still holding secure. Takes a bit of care to align perfectly (height adjustments on each side bracket).
well worth it for a clean look.

Unfortunately, Skene Design no longer makes front license plate brackets. As an alternative, I’ve read good things on this website about carbonio.com “No Drill” solution and will order a set from them.

You can use some 3M exterior removable double sided tape.
In this region I don't have a front plate in 2 of the cars, have only been stopped once in 10 years and didn't even get the fix it ticket.
I wouldn't even worry about it until you get a fix it ticket.

I just noticed it on their website. Too bad- it was a nice product.

That being said, you can likely get away without one in NJ with so many Pennsylvania cars on the road. Just be sure to have one by the time inspection rolls around.
I'm in NJ. 20+ years with no plates and never been bothered with it ...even when pulled over for other reasons. Neither of my 3 now have them, and not even looked at for inspection anymore. My 911 just went through recently without a hitch. They only check for emissions codes/readiness.

Yes, it looks better without a front plate. No, it's not worth it being pulled over because of it. Glass of wine with dinner?

7 years and counting on the 911 with no front plates in NJ. Didn’t even think about inspection but it has been through 3 times I think and never a mention.

I was at a region PCA region 8 cars and coffee and saw this car. Not really my cup of tea but a different solution to mounting a front metal plate.

Same issue in TX that I have never addressed …. since 1989. Same as an earlier post, the second plate is in the glove box. Please don’t spoil the front end 🙏

This looks like the best solution to me especially if you have parking sensors. I keep my front plate in the frunk but I might order one of these just in case.

My state recently made it an offense that you can't get pulled over for. Same with exhaust and tint. Woohoo!

I have been driving a car in California without a front plate for over six years. No problem so far. I may buy a tow hook plate mount just for emergency but I definitely hate the front plate on the car.
