Interesting, I know just about every high end aftermarket alloy wheel company offers a version of powder coated wheels from HRE to BC Forged, Forgeline, etc. If wheels started failing at ANY rate I am sure they would have stopped offering them by now from losses in warranty and liabilities from customers.

I am sure is some truth to high heat taking away the integrity of alloy wheels, but probably not enough to cause failures. At least I have yet to see any on my decades on car forums with thousands of people running aftermarket powder coated wheels.

Yeah, it would only probably fail at the extremes, where aircraft and race cars operate. Driving around town wouldn’t induce enough stress.

I have contacted reputable, scientific companies, not the fly by night powder coating shops on every corner, with no validation to their methods. Start with Advance Coating Technology….and also try reading Porsche service manual. . .

I bought the gray (or i think porsche calls them platinum) center caps for them, and TPMS sensors from amazon. Deciding what tires to put on them!!!!
20x9.5 front ET55
20x11 rear ET67
I think im gonna run 245/35R20 fronts and 295/30R20 on the rear. I wanted 305/30/R20 on the rears but because the rear wheels are only 11 inches, im gonna run 295.

Did you buy these new at the dealer? Wanting to put the same rims on a 991.1 narrow body.

Do these RS Spyder wheels go right on the narrow body 991.1 without mods or spacers? Can someone share the part number and/or link where they purchased...I wanted the 50th anniversary edition wheels but they are for wide body only I believe.

Avant Garde. Originally were black, just had them powder coated bronze for a change.

no the macan ones are 5x112, the 991 911 and all other porsches are 5x130. If you want to purchase these from the dealer get the ones made for the panamera, cayenne, or the 992 911 (but i think they are 21" for the rears on the 992 so you have to talk to them about getting all 4 20"), and ofcourse you might still be able to order them for your 991.1 directly from the dealer, just ask, but do not buy Macan ones. the 50th anniversary wheels will fit just put 295/30/20 tires on the rear.

These are the 50th anniversary ones i think your talking about they will definitely fit a narrow body 991.1:
