Default Asking for a “friend’s” wife
So, say a “friend’s” wife keeps a spreadsheet with value of assets in case something happens to the guy. What should she record as the value of a manual 2014 C4S with PSE, 25k miles and all service records. $126k build at the time with a clean car fax and dealer serviced.

Gentle bulling and jokes welcome, but keep in mind my “friend” may be a really really close friend.

Keep the value very conservative. I'd hate to see something unfortunate happen to a "friend". 😂

Hahahahahahaha. Did not think about this option. She has been keeping the list since before marriage. So definitely a loooong term planer.

Not much if forced to sell. $65K....... If she worried about $32,500 (each gets half) she's broke anyway and not worth having.

I'd do KBB at trade-in value...

Not to start a debate but I don't track cars as an "asset". That keeps me honest in terms of real invested assets. Once I buy a car and write the check it's out of my tracking/calc as if I lit the money on fire.

it depends if it's a coupe/cab and the details of the spec etc.
