Looking at a ‘19 Carrera GTS manual with 6k miles - dealer is asking $145k and not budging. Well spec’d (no pccb, and no alcantara but full leather). List price was $138k.

Thoughts on pricing?

You gotta pay to play. That's a pretty desirable model - GTS with stick. I'd suggest a 991.2 base or T with stick and get a tune for GTS performance at much less $$$.

Go to Bring a Trailer and select auction results. Search 911 GTS and you'll get a good idea of the market for this model.

100%. As someone who spent the first half of this year looking for a 991.2... that is a rare bird indeed. Manuals themselves are rare, and well kept cars worth buying with a manual are even rarer. Add in GTS package... well, yeah, there ya go.

If you can afford it, I'd grab it, as they don't pop up very often.

If you just want to go fast in a 991.2, then I'd look for a S (over base / T, for bigger brakes) and just use the money you saved on a tune (~$1500) or even a APR Stage 3 upgrade (~$10k installed) and you'll be good to go.

If by “list price” you mean MSRP, they’re asking a lot for the car. On the other hand manuals are harder to find. Since you’re talking about a 2019 from a dealer I assume it’s CPO which adds value. Overall, if you like it and can afford it; go for it.

I paid just a little bit under that last year for mine. I totally echo what everyone has said - if you just want a fun and awesome 991.2 you can get one for much less and I really like the T.

I always wanted a GTS and jumped when I saw my spec up for sale: manual, GTS interior pack, RWS, RWD. It’s the perfect enthusiast GTS and at least here in Canada in the year since I bought mine I haven’t seen more than one other spec like that for sale. Rare and if I do say so myself the best way to experience a GTS .

Looks like they've had the car for only 2 weeks. Limits the negotiation power you have. It appears to be the only manual 991.2 GTS for sale right now. That also limits your negotiation power. If it matches all the specs you would want then I would get over overpaying by 10 to 15k. Otherwise start looking at other similar the slightly different available cars. There’s a 13k manual 2019 GTS on BaT with one day left on the auction. It’s sitting at $100k right now.

I believe the sticker on it was $122k which is lower than the MSRP was on my S so this thing didn’t have a ton of options (may matter to you, may not).

Just throwing it out there if it helps your analysis or informs your decision.

God I want to beat the **** out of myself for letting go of my perfect 991.2 C2S.

Apparently no one is letting go of their manual cars, which honestly makes sense... to me the 991.2 is actually peak 911 because it has the power to feel like a mini supercar but the dynamics to still be fun on the street driven at 3-5/10ths. (And the manual trans and steering is FAR better than the 991.1 and IMO the aesthetic tweaks made a big difference vs the .1 too...). A GTS is just peak-peak 911.... but it's still amazing that they're fetching $150k+. Wow. Not sure they're worth it at that price...

But if you're set on a GTS you may want to hold out for one. The brakes are a big deal, but also rear axle steering is a huge bonus on these cars and it's only available on the S and above and I think the T (subjectively... but I actually question anyone who doesn't like rear axle steering...). Also some people really prefer the look of the wide body.

But that said the base cars are still fantastically fun cars, and there are actually better options if you want a track car. I have seen .2 S cars going for less than $100k, makes me confident that if I wanted to I could find a decent base 6 speed around that.

I'll never get another S with 7k miles, 7MT, RAS, SPASM, 18-ways and full leather for $100k ever again though. Fortunate to say that's one of my deepest regrets in life is that I don't have that car anymore...

Yup, literally a ZERO option GTS. Read the comments on this one. 13K miles so reasonable but sounds like it spent a lot of it's life on track though it looks to have been serviced accordingly.

Pretty rare bird to see a stripper GTS! Could be a great option. Seems there’s some questions about the rev report but I haven’t delved into it on BaT so worth reading the comments in detail.

Wait. That can’t be right. The GTS is just a parts bin special marketed to fools, and manual transmissions are undesirable relics. In 5 years, you’ll have trouble giving that car away for free. You’re evidently not reading the same Rennlist posts that I’m reading….
