Thoughts on this 991.2 GTS cab? $179K MSRP
MY2017

The asking price is for $130K with 15k miles which seems like a great deal considering the $179K MSRP, but I'm not sure how much the options are worth after depreciation
beautiful 2017 gts cab!

I think with the MSRP of this car and it’s options , and it’s rarity (not many similar to this are available) : the price is fair.
clean auto check and according to them a clean Carfax and maintenance up to date.
and regarding the depreciation of the options : when you sell it or trade it in, you won’t get much for most of them , but they’ll turn right around and jack their prices up when they sell it and market those options.
if you like the car. Get it. Nothing to regret here.
Get a PPI though as it isn’t CPO.

It's a good price. I would go for it as long as there are no surprises.

Nice spec, the only miss in my book is the sport seats. The full leather is really nice because for some reason they are less susceptible to door card separation. Also make sure you are ready to deal with center locks. (not sure if you are in a winter climate or plan to use it in the cold months) resulting in more frequent wheel change outs.

It’s local to me and I’ve seen it on the lot, but not looked at it with a high level of detail. Bought several cars there, and they have treated me well. Ask for Dominik, and let him know Jimmy told ya to call, and he should be able to get you all the info on the car you need.

Not really sure how the new MSRP is relevant to the purchase of a 6 or7 year old car. Any warranty? CPO? In December of last year (2022) I purchased (from a Porsche dealer) a 2017 GTS coupe with Carmine paint, RAS, GTS CF interior package including 18 way seats, carbon fiber heated steering wheel, last year with 18K miles, got a full two years from date of purchase CPO plus an additional warranty for 5 years 60K miles. I paid about the same price but $130K out the door, tax, license, warranties included. Just as a point of reference. Either the market rising or there is some room to negotiate. FWIW
I'd like to add, whatever price you pay, you will not regret the car and what's a few thousand $s at this level of spending? The car that ticks you boxes with the right specs is worth a few percent premium. I did drive a 120 miles to the dealer when I found the right deal and had to look for a few months until the car came along. Got everything I wanted and more, the price was secondary. Also my purchase date was December 27. Right after Christmas and just before the end of the year. Dealer was fairly incentivized to get the car off the books and inventory, and get the sale on the books before end of the month/year. Possibly a perfect storm for the buyer in a pretty tight market.

I'm not a cab fan but that's a great spec and a good price IMO. I paid about 25% under MSRP for my 2018 coupe (26K miles) earlier this year and thought it was a pretty good deal. I love the car so if you did buy it, enjoy it in good health and share some drive pics!

If you are the buyer and it is EXACTLY what you are looking for (don't compromise, Porsche never did), life can be short as I knew it back in 2009 when I bought my first Porsche.
If you want a cab in white 100%
If you want PDK 100%
If you want a lower mileage car with no winters 100%
If it has all the important options you want 100%
GO FOR IT, if it hasn't been sold.
I did the same buying my three-year old Porsche: Normally aspirated GTS, Coupe, GT Silver, 7-speed manual, important options, low 98 mile mileage...my options are very similar to the GTS you are/were looking at.

Hi all, ended up pulling the trigger and thanks for all of the feedback!
The car is about 99% of what I wanted — I have a slight preference for coupes but I’m happy with the purchase
A targa would have been awesome but finding the spec I wanted at a reasonable price would have been exceedingly difficult.
Will post photos later! Appreciate you all!
