Default New DB Carbon pieces

Decided to add a bit of contrast to the interior and am very pleased with fit and finish. If anyone else is considering DB Carbon did a great job.

Did you get any other pieces installed other than the sides and clock cover? The sides were stick-ons correct? Did they add to the bulk at all?

And on a separate note, how do you like your Ring Car Cam?

Just those. The sides fit amazingly well. Comes with 3M adhesive strip, but they “sit” in the small indentation very well.
Ring Camera: Plus: easy install. Connects to your OBD port for power with battery mgmt so it won’t overdrain. Good disturbance tech and notification.
Minus: not 4k. Unless the car is up close front/rear you aren’t going to get a good plate read.

I heard Ring Cams had issues with Porsche and other cars with Auto Start Stop. You find this to be the case?

Plate reads are important in dash cams. Sorry to hear not the case with Ring.

Did they just go over the leather pieces on the door or did your car have the bushed aluminum in that area of the door?

TX991.2, you convinced me to buy a set for .1 after seeing how nice they look on yours! I would assume it's fairly aggressive 3M tape? Did you do any prep work to the leather before installing? I have the factory CF dash trim, etc and I also have a DB PDK shift lever (bough it used in Matt finish :P( wish it was gloss) so these sides should match up perfect with the OEM carbon, Thanks for being a bad influence :P)

Lol! Glad I could help. I don't have the leather doors, just the stamped vinyl material (same as dash). The 3M tape works fine. The carbon fiber is so thin it actually can hold in the slots even without tape. I used rubbing alcohol to clean any oils/debris from the area before sticking it on. Then I just pressed across the piece to make sure it was planted. Very easy.

Going on record that I blame everyone on Rennlist for my DB Carbon addiction - wish I never knew about Daniel's website.

Is there a place that sells DB Carbon at a better price? Or is there Rennlist or PCA discount?

I don't think so but I'm not sure By the way they're out of a lot of items and will be taking a long holiday right after Christmas. When I went to order mine they said I wouldn't get them until early March as they are overwhelmed with orders. .

Their door spears are unique and do an incredible job dressing up the vinyl interior. Had mine for 2 years now with no adhesion issues.

I've bought a lot of items from Daniel at DB Carbon over the years. He's a wonderful communicator and sticks to his word. Prices are solid and I'm glad to use him as fit and finish are spot on.
