Please post pictures of your 991.1 base 3.4. I know there are not many of us out there, but here is a place to start a little club! Sometimes less is more! I don't track, I don't race and engine mounts that cost 500 vs 2500 are just fine with me, less to break, replace. No sport choro, no PASM, no sport plus button, no crest, no leather dash, no build sheet to speak of - just basic, but PDK! [okay, with my back I just cannot engage the clutch pedal as I did years ago]
Yes, a cab, because it was on my bucket list, and white, because I am tired of black cars - less washing, more driving. I went from a 600hp stage 2 M4, because I was ready for a NA Porsche without all the bells and whistles, in the memory of capturing how I felt in my 993. What is left are just a few esthetic mods. I straight piped/fister and with K&N filters - only.. I did all the oils, including the PDK, plugs, coils and filters. I put over 150k on my 993, hoping to do the same with this 991.1 base 3.4!
It is good to be back!

The base without wings, skirts, and a bigger butt always remind me of the 60s models, narrow sleek, streamlined. Your Vader is beautiful!

Hit a deer, went off road hit a hill side, snapped the front drive line, then hit a tree as it was going sideways up the hill, then slid back down the hill! When she rested, she was still running! I am so glad I was in a sparco bucket.

My 2012 Base. In the 18 months prior to buying my car, I drove the base, the S, the GTS, the GT3, and the 4S. Loved every one of them. In fact, I was very close to pulling the trigger on a 7MT GTS. So what made me ditch that idea and get a base car?
I owe my Porsche fascination to my dad, who bought his current 911SC brand new in 1980. One owner, totally original car. Has around 30ish thousand miles on it now. Driving that car, and experiencing that car, is what really did it for me. And of all the 991 flavors, the closest thing you're going to get to that pure, classic 911 experience, is a base car. It makes you work for the power, is very revvy, and just like the old air-cooled cars, you can really throw it around and play with everything it offers without risking a felony on public roads. I genuinely believe the base Carrera is, by far, the most underrated 991. It handles just like you'd expect a 911 to, has more power than any of us will ever need on the street, and isn't trying to be anything other than just a pure, pure 911. I'm also a big believer that the very reason why the base is the most underrated car, is because not enough prospective buyers actually go drive one. They're all conditioned in one way or another to believe that they "need" to be a step or two above the base, so they never even entertain the idea of the 3.4 Carrera. I think there are probably a healthy amount of Carrera S owners that, had they driven a base, probably would've opted for it.
It took 12 months of searching for mine to come along. Finally a car that checked all the boxes. Base 7MT, black/black, PASM, PDLS, sport design wheel, sport exhaust, BOSE, 14-way seats, 20in Carrera S wheels, barely 20,000 miles, enthusiast owner, flawless cosmetically and mechanically. In the entire 12 months prior, I hadn't seen one as clean come up anywhere. It was worth the wait!

The last 991.1 I owned was an S and I modified everything I could - tune, headers, exhaust, but it wasn’t what I experienced in the 9 years I had my 993. I owned it for less than 2 years and went with an M4. Then I drove my friend’s base model. I was hooked.
I understand why you went with a base model. I relate to it. Thank you for sharing your experience. The base is pure 911!

Here is mine. I posted in a similar thread but I’m happy to join the group here. I just changed the side marker lights to clear LEDs.

Picked it up last weekend
Drove to work Monday and got rear ended (I'm praying for minor damage, car is being disassembled at the body shop as we speak)
People just suck...
