Default Annual Basic Serivice $611 !

Had my 2018 C4S into the dealer in Nor. Cal. I was billed $611 for the basic service, and I replaced the two cabin filters and wipers myself. It's not easy to support the local dealer given these costs. Going to an indie for next service.

Pay to play. That amount does not seem that unreasonable. You do not even mention what basic service was done. Just an oil change at the dealer would cost you 300+ alone. 250 at an independent. Are you able to do basic maintenance on your own? You might be able to save a few dollars. Lots of DIY threads here one Rennlist for sure. And YouTube has full DIY videos that will take you step by step.

oil change at dealer in FL runs $500…another reason to stay away from dealers, if possible

What does the service include? If it’s oil change and brake fluid flush that’s a pretty good price, especially at a dealer.

if it’s just oil change, yeah that’s pretty steep, but clearly it didn’t break the bank since you decided to keep the car there to get it done.

Ir was just the oil change and general inspection. Oil, oil filter, o ring for oil filter, fill tire air pressure, check brake wear, and some windshield washer fluid. No brake fluid change, no spark plugs, no engine intake filter.

Not a bank breaker, but just seems dishonest. It was just the oil change and general inspection. Oil, oil filter, o-ring for oil filter, fill tire air pressure, check brake wear, and some windshield washer fluid. No brake fluid change, no spark plugs, no engine intake filter.

It would be cheap if it included brake fluid change, spark plugs, etc. This was an oil change, plus the oil filter. No engine intake air filter.

It was just the most basic 1K or 1-year annual service. Oil change and oil filter. No brake fluid change, no engine air intake filter. Just some oil, oil filter, and air for my tires, and some wiper fluid.

In my opinion, there is no reason to go to the dealer for any non-warranty work if you have a good local specialist. That’s generally true with any make of car, from Kia to Ferrari.

679 CDN at our local dealers. I only agree to get ripped off since it's under CPO and they said my warranty might not cover if I don't.

I think that you'll find that most if not all dealers assess 2 hours of shop labour for the basic oil change and inspection, at least that's what my bill showed last year. add in the oil and filter parts and there you go.

In South FL, I got quoted nearly $800 for a dealership oil change, $400 for an independent shop to do it...
