Couple more of my 991S pics
Almost a week with my new 991 and I love it. Very comfortable and quiet yet sporty when you want. The interior, seats and dash are definite improvements.
I'm still getting used to the PDK having manual trans for many years. I love shifting the PDK with paddles or stick, especially in sport mode. However, in non-sport auto mode, it shifts too quickly. Guess it's a gas mileage thing. Who would ever drive a Porsche and not get above 1500 rpm, 5th gear, 35mph just leaving the neighborhood? Come on. There should be a user control function in the computer that you can set to have it shift a little higher. In fairness, a light touch of the gas pedal and it instantly downshifts to where you should be so I probably just need to get used to it.
Pictures are from the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, NC. I've had this tradition for over 20 years that whenever I get a new car, I do a shake-down cruise to the mountains, 2 hrs from my home. Today, the light was ok, no snow, no blooms, kind of an in-between season time. No cars so I got to drive real fast!

No Sport Auto, shifts at 2,000 rpm
Sport Auto, shifts at 4,000 rpm
Sport + Auto, shifts at redline (although you can shift before that with the paddle or button and drive in manual/auto mode)

Wish I could tell you about best roads. I live in Greensboro and it's about 2 hours to the Parkway, straight I40-421.
There are lots some cops and worse, motorhomes in the summer and fall. However, it's 45mph and lots of twists and turns. You can easily and safely do 55-60 and still have lots of fun. I have 2 friends that ride there on motorcycles and they say (don't hold me to it) that the Blue Ridge Parkway is a federal road and if you get a speeding ticket, there's no court, no hiring an attorney, etc. You pay your $100 and get NO points on your insurance.
Where's your beach place? We have a condo in Wrightsville Beach- boring roads though, 3hrs on I40...

OP's 3rd pic and avatar - photoshopped. Correct?

Actually all 3 are photoshopped Is that a problem-whats your point? I'm the only one that took the pictures and I never said they weren't PS'd

It just happens I knew the background of the 3rd shot as it has been posted before with a different car and this rendering shows a disconnect between the hooded background and what is seen through the car's windows, as well as the car tires buried on the tarmac.

So why be a jerk ADias? It's my car and my pictures, let me enjoy my 15 minutes. I posted the previous picture when I got my GTS in Feb. Same camera, same tradition. The picture if the 991 was taken today at the "same spot" but the background was washed out compared to the foggy day when I took my GTS up there last time. Should I qualify that I changed contrast, cropped, etc the others? If I was better at PS, it would pass your scrutiny but it doesn't change the fact that these are pictures from the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock. My car, my camera, my pictures. It's not the Washigton Post so who cares if it was photoshopped (except you). You do have a good memory though. In fact, I posted a couple pics and RListers photoshopped the original for me.
