991 PSDS review

Drifting
i think it just should be understood now that porsche finally enforced a clear separation between street and gt3 cars.
i think everyone who drove 991S on a street says it is a great street car. it is simply optimized for that and for that alone, basta.
anyone who will want a car for track fun will need to buy gt3 or cup. if we will see when 991 gt3 will come out that it is not even possible to move gt3 parts into 991S it will finilize this separation. not to say i just do not understand with amount of 991 electronics how would that car behave if you start swapping out LCAs, changing camber, suspension arms, putting on 335 wide tires in rear, etc.
it is just a good street car now designed to run as it is, from a factory.

Now let's hope the 991 GT3 is not as "soft" as the 997.1 GT3... which was quickly corrected by Porsche with the 997.2 GT3...

i am all for progress but only if it is a progress indeed and not an artificial attempt to create issues out of nowhere to suck out extra dollars out of my pocket - like to force you into dealership service instead of doing work on your own, like a necessety to take off rear bumper to replace an air filter or check level of steering liquid and coolant, etc.

grammar
what do you mean by "Trollapolooza!"?
The grammar assist posts could be the most annoying posts on this site.....

Thanks for the post and thread.
I guess there is hope for the 997 yet.
I was beginning to believe the 991 "was better in nearly every way". Whew! I can go back to loving my GTS.
Vern, Quadcammer and Boolala should be by any minute now.

Speaking of which, I never go the chance to thank you for parking next to me at RennSport Reunion (had to be you, how many Mexico Blue GT3's w/ front fins are there?). Everyone oogled your car and thankfully ignored mine (yeah, yeah, why'd I order a Turquoise Blue if I didn't want the attention - my 11 y.o. daughter picked out the color).

Coming on to 991 forum full of guys and inferring that the car is for "lady's"(sic). Are you familiar with the term "Troll"?
As annoying as the blatant incendiary trolling of posts like the OP's? I think not.

Attended the 3 day PSDS course....
The 991 is not really ready for prime time....
One of the last classes that still has both the 997 and 991 which enables you to drive both cars back to back,
the general consensus of the class is that the 997 is a better car..
The car has been designed for the lady's and the enthusiast has been left out...
If nobody told you the 991 had electric power steering you wouldn't know...
The torque vectoring is just plain weird the way it works...
The 3/4 rear view the car resembles a mini Panamera...
The PDK in Sport mode it keeps down shifting when the detent is passed, even with little RPM's left...makes it a PIA to drive...
The car may be wider in track but the interior is narrower, your knee rubs the speaker under hard cornering, a not too pleasant experience, where the 997 does not...
The best car in the class was the 997 GT3 by far!

I think I chose my parking space based on color ... and btw let your daughter know she has excellent taste!

Larry -....gots to say your sequence of cars...most choice.
Am curious as to which one tugs hardest at your desires?
i'd wager the '99 but suspect close run....
(I noticed you almost answered this question earlier in this thread but not explicitly, hence, the interest)
