Interesting. Wonder if the yellow tape is really there to hide a red reflector strip between the lights -or- to make us think that there is a reflector strip when there really isn't one (but the rear taillights do look less recessed than the 2S, so probably there is one)...

Good to see the engineers at Porsche still like fat bottomed girls.

This is the one that I have been waiting for. Hopefully in 1 year I will be able to start the ordering process. Turned down an order for a 991S and bought a GT3 RS.

But have to order this with the ducktail! Maybe in a PTS "Mexico Blue" with blue stitching. Just waiting right now. Will have to sell the 10 M5 though - too many payments.

For Carrera? I guess you will see it on Carrera GTS in future. But it will be a long wait. The closest option in terms of time is GT3. It will have with wide-body.

Yes, that is a wide-body 991.

Based on spy photos, it appears Porsche is mimicking the 997 with regards to body configuration, i.e. C4/C4S/T4/T4S as wide bodies, with the GT3 as a narrow body. One can assume that future GTS and GT3RS models will be wide bodies as well.

I had read somewhere that Porsche was going to offer the wide-body as a stand alone option as they did with the SC and 993.

i see. to me the hips on the NB 991 are very nice. Perhaps its the way the C pillars are pinched in more than the 997s.

I could be wrong, but wasn't the 997 GT3 narrow bodied, while the 997 GT3 RS wide bodied?

We'll see. The spy photos posted of the near-finished form wide-body cars (coupe and Targa) both have what appears to be a covered strip between the taillights, which has been a sign of the 4S models going back to the 996.

The SC was never offered with Turbo-look bodywork - that was the later G-model Carrera. And the wide-body 2WD 993 was the S model at the end of the model run, not unlike the 997GTS models.
