I would guess the deviated stitching on the leather shift boot, but Eduardo doesn't seem to miss much, ever.

when i gave it the once over i completely forgot about that as an option and my head filled in the shifter just as espresso...i didn't even recall looking for the stitch let alone picking it up in just one picture!

First of all! Many congrats with that beautiful car!

Second... For a trained eye, it's not that hard to see. Standard color is black for the gear shifter, your's is espersso

Thanks for the kind compliments. This is the complete option list on my 2014 C2S 7MT cab:
  • Paint: PTS Mexico Blue, rear fascia painted
  • Performance: Powerkit, PDCC, PDLS
  • Wheels: SportTechno, painted black
  • Leather: Espresso/Cognac natural leather, steering column in leather with deviating stitching, personalized floor mats with leather edging, gear shift lever with deviating stitching, extended interior packages (door panel, rear, dashboard trim), leather interior package, center console trim in leather, rear center tunnel in leather with decorative stitching, instrument surround , Porsche crests on headrests
  • Electronics: Burmester package, ParkAssist, telephone module, voice control, multifunction steering wheel, power sports seats (14-way), premium package plus
  • Cosmetics: model deletion, SportDesign side mirrors, luggage net, smoking package, vehicle key painted

In specifying the order, I reached out directly to Sascha Glaeser and received his input multiple times. I found him difficult to get in touch with but very helpful when I did. For whatever reasons, neither of the two dealers I worked with were particularly opinionated about the customization options nor encouraging of working with Sascha. This forum, and this thread in particular, was - by far - the most useful resource, followed by Sascha. Now done, I'm very happy that I went down this route. I'd encourage anyone to rely, first and foremost, on their own research leveraging this thread, followed by reaching out to Sascha and Porsche Exclusive. Unless you're time-sensitive, there's no disadvantage (cost or otherwise) to designing your own perfect car, and Porsche provides more flexibility than anyone. I dabbled for a while with getting a 911_50, one of 1963, but I ultimately decided to go for a unique, personal design. Resale many years or decades from now wasn't a concern for me personally.

Sounds like an absolutely fantastic build, although, I'm somewhat biased as I absolutely love Mexico Blue.

Congrats on nailing down your build spec!

Hi. I'm a new member. I am hugely grateful for all I learned from this forum. Thanks to all!!

I am considering placing an order for a 991 with Espresso/Cognac interior and want to get the carpet deviated to Espresso. I was told by a dealer today that it was not possible to change the carpet color. Based on the 2014 C4S in Houston from earlier in this thread, I don't believe it. Does anyone know the dealer configurator code for ordering this option and/or have any advice?

Z-option: # 24951 'Carpet in deviated color'.

If you continue to get resistance or incorrect information from your dealer, contact directly PCNA's 'Porsche Exclusive' representatives in the US (see attached). Good luck with your custom order!

Default Latest PTS Approved list?

The attached PCNA issued Approved PTS List is dated 1/23/2014. Please let me know if anyone at this forum has a PTS list more current than this one so that our members know the latest approved list of Paint to Sample Colors available to them!

Saludos,
Eduardo
Carmel

PS I thank Dr. Bill/RayDBonz for forwarding this latest PTS list.

Thanks for the new list Eduardo.

Noticed one strange thing... According to the list, Carrara White metallic is not feasible for 991 and 981, yet it is a color on the standard palette for MY2015

They just don't want anyone to try to order a color via PTS at $5500 that will be available for only US $710 for MY2015! They are trying to help us out...

The probable real story - PAG have gone ahead and approved it as a PTS color for the Panamera. Remember this is a three model list - 991, 981 and Panamera! That is why it got on this list in the first place. Since it was going to be a metallic offering on 991/981, they are telling you is not available as a PTS for those two models...which technically is true!

Beautiful build!
Congratulations on running the Porsche PTS gauntlet!
I know that without the help from this Forum, I may not have succeeded.
Porsche Exclusive in the USA and Porsche Dealers for whatever reason(s) do not provide a lot of assistance.
I like the leather covered interior trim, so much so that for my next PTS, I would switch the PTS interior color to the vents.
But for the Espresso option, leather covered just plain looks better!
Mexico Blue gauges would also be nice.-Richard

What are the main differences between White vs Carrara White Metallic??
Which one do you think looks the best on a 2 color black/ garnet red leather interior for a 991 cab.
Thank you!
